Danny Jones’ past cheating controversies resurface after ‘kiss’ scandal with Maura Higgins-Lillie Rohan-Entertainment – Metro

Danny Jones has found himself in hot water after ‘drunkenly kissing’ Maura Higgins, and it seems this isn’t the first scandal he’s been caught in.

The McFly star, 38 – who has been married to his wife Georgia Horsley since 2014 – was spotted on Saturday night sharing a smooch with his I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here co-star, 34, at a Brit Awards after party.

While the situation has dominated headlines this week, attention is now turning to the star’s past scandals, including an alleged kiss that appeared to end a former relationship.

Danny, who previously dated a woman called Olivia Shaw, was first plagued with a cheating scandal in 2008 when news outlets claimed the sweethearts had split because the musician turned his attention elsewhere.

Elsewhere allegedly being model and former Miss England, Laura Coleman.

At the time, the now-defunct News Of The World reported Olivia was left shocked and heartbroken after Danny told her that he and Laura had shared a pash.

Speaking to the news outlet, a source said: ‘Danny’s a very honest guy. He didn’t want to cheat on Olivia, so as soon as he kissed Laura he realised he had to end the relationship… Danny never slept with Laura while he was still with Olivia, they only kissed.’

The source continued to claim Olivia ‘hadn’t seen it coming’ and that it was a ‘real slap in the face’ when he not only told her but also ended their relationship.

Unfortunately for Danny, the scandals and cheating allegations don’t stop there.

After one year with Laura, the star had his first interaction with yet another former Miss England, his now-wife, Georgia, and sources claim his head was turned before he ended his relationship with Laura.

The Mirror wrote at the time that Laura felt ‘betrayed’ by Danny, and after hearing he had moved on with Georgia after a year of courting her, she allegedly felt very ‘hurt’.

In 2014, after four years of dating, Georgia and Danny wed at St Mary’s Priory Church in Old Malton, Yorkshire, and in January 2018, they welcomed their son, Cooper Alf Jones.

Since tying the knot, the couple has appeared to keep a stable relationship and have often been spotted looking loved up.

However, a comment made by Danny just days before the Brit Awards may have indicated the pair had been going through a rough patch following his time in the Australian jungle.

Appearing on the Parenting Hell podcast with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe, Danny jokingly told them that he was ‘surprised’ Georgia was still with him following his jungle stint, especially as she had to move house ‘all by herself’ when he was away.

He added: ‘When I got back, my wife was like, “I just think I need to go away to a hut myself for a few days,”‘ and went on a solo retreat to a remote cabin.

The revelation wasn’t exactly new for fans as Georgia spoke about her break on her podcast, Mum’s The Word: ‘I was like, do you know what? F*** it. I’m going to do it. I need to be on my own. I need silence. I can’t hear – I can’t hear people needing me anymore. I can’t. I can’t do it.’ 

She also shared an Instagram post, writing: ‘Over a month of solo parenting, moving house on my own, working hard on my career whilst Danny was in the jungle with snakes in his pants was A LOT!’

Danny and Georgia have reportedly been locked in crisis talks this week following the shock kiss, and are mostly keeping a low profile with Georgia pulling out of a public Q&A at The Baby Show this weekend.

The Sun reported Georgia is ‘humiliated’ by the betrayal but claimed the couple are putting the kiss behind them and committed to repairing their relationship.

A source told the news outlet: ‘Danny and Georgia have been together for a long time and have spoken about that night. They are keen to just move past it and get on with their lives.

‘Danny and Georgia are both committed to each other and are moving on with their lives.’

Meanwhile, sources claim the kiss has had a surprise outcome for Maura, as she is reportedly at the top of Channel 4’s list to join the next season of Celebs Go Dating.
