Fans of Adolescence are keen to learn more about Stephen Graham and his wife Hannah Walters, who has appeared alongside him on screen several times.

Adolescence is a new Netflix drama which has captivated fans for it’s gritty narrative and imaginative one-shot storytelling techniques.

Viewers have praised the 15-year-old breakout star, Owen Cooper and after finishing the series want to watch everything Stephen has starred in.

As interest around Stephen rises, some have realised that his wife, Hannah, has a rather familiar face.

Hannah is a fellow actor who has appeared in several of his projects, including A Thousand Blows, Boiling Point, and This Is England.

Stephen began dating actress and producer Hannah Walters, 46, after they met while training as actors at Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance.

Speaking about their relationship, he revealed in 2018: ‘We were bezzie mates. Which is the best way, isn’t it? After a while, we just thought, “This is daft”, do you know what I mean? “We like each other, we should get together”.’

They were married in June 2008 and live in Ibstock, Leicestershire.

The couple share a son and a daughter – Alfie and Grace.

Beginning her own acting career in 2006 with a small role in The Thieving Headmistress, Hannah first worked alongside Stephen when playing Trudy in the This is England franchise.

In the years since, the couple have worked together a total of 13 times.

The most notable have been in the short film Boiling Point, which was turned into a feature film two years later, in the 2021 series Time and in the newly released Disney Plus series A Thousand Blows. While Stephen plays boxer Sugar Goodson, Hannah plays the member of a female gang that terrorises London.

In 2020, Stephen praised his wife for helping his career: ‘I’m dyslexic so I struggle. My missus actually reads the script and says whether or not I’m doing it,’ he said.

‘She’s made some good choices. I have to read it and read it and read it, then make it look like it’s the first time I’m saying it.’

He also previously said of his wife: ‘I watched Hannah back in the day at drama school and always thought she was brilliant.’

Over the years Stephen and Hannah have appeared on red carpets together alongside their children and even on a celebrity special of Gogglebox in 2023.

Although he has rarely spoken about his personal life, Stephen did tell The Times: ‘We have ups and downs, of course. Luckily, though, the relationship we both have with our children is beautiful – but it takes work.’

In 2021, Hannah told The Mirror: ‘I want to kill him at times… but I just adore him.’
