Davina McCall has officially been given the all-clear and announced her brain tumour is ‘not coming back’ months after surgery.

The TV icon, 57, had an operation on November 15 after a random health check discovered a 14mm benign tumour.

After a craniotomy, she has been slowly getting back to full health and updating fans regularly with the help of partner Michael Douglas.

She previously called it the ‘hardest’ time in her life but now, Davina has shared that her final scan has come back completely clear.

Sharing snaps from her scan on Instagram, Davina wrote: ‘So here it is. Our final brain surgery update. Had the final MRI this week.

‘@brain.surgeon.uk got everything out during surgery, it’s not coming back.’

She thanked everyone at the clinics as well as her mum and Michael for ‘ taking such good care’ of her in her recovery.

Davina added: ‘[Thanks] To Sarah for being my BFF to my amazing kids. To @brain.surgeon.uk for being the GOAT.’

In a video posted back in January, she shared she was one of the three in a million who had been diagnosed with having a ‘very rare’ colloid cyst.

Colloid cysts are benign, meaning they are non-cancerous, small fluid-filled sacs located in or around the lateral and third ventricle of the brain, according to the London Neurosurgery Partnership.

While hosting this year’s Comic Relief last month, Davina held back tears as she shared:  ‘I had a pretty mad year this year. Doctors found a benign brain tumour by chance and after a lot of deliberating I had it removed.

‘And it’s been, quite possibly, the hardest thing I’ve ever been through and this whole experience, weirdly, kind of weighing up all the risks and all the positive things about having this tumour removed made me think deeply about what life is all about, and what really, really matters when things get tough.’

The former Big Brother presenter then began to cry as she spoke of the support she had received from her family and partner Michael Douglas.

She continued: ‘But this whole experience, weirdy, of weighing up all the risks and all the positive things about having this tumour removed, made me really think deeply about what life is all about and what really, really matters when things get tough.

‘I needed the brilliance and the skill of lots of medical experts to make me okay.

‘And oh my goodness I’ve needed the love and support…’
