Lidl launches new summer sandals – they’re made from leather, with comfy footbed & they’re cheaper than Aldi’s pair

LIDL lovers better set their alarms, as stylish summer sandals will soon be hitting shelves – and they’re cheaper than Aldi’s.

With temperatures remaining high this weekend, and another bank holiday just around the corner, many of us are well and truly getting in to the summer spirit.

And what better way to plan for long summer nights and holidays abroad than by treating yourself to a new pair of footwear.

A good pair of sandals can often end up setting you back around £100, but Lidl is selling their own version of the popular two-strap comfy style, for just £7.99.

The Livergy Sandals will be hitting stores from Sunday, May 18 as part of Lidl’s Middle Aisle offers.

The chic yet comfy sandals come in two colours, black and brown, and are available in both men’s and women’s sizes.

The men’s shoes come in sizes 7.5-11.5, whilst the women’s sandals are available in sizes 4-7.5.

Leather insoles give the shoes extra comfort – meaning you can stroll in them for hours whilst exploring new cities abroad – and adjustable buckles allow you to make sure the shoes are the perfect fit.

The summer shoes even have an anatomically made foot bed, and are made with leather from LWG certified tanneries.

Plus, they’re cheaper than Aldi’s offering, with the rival supermarket stocking sandals for £9.99.

Aldi’s Adults’ Footbed Sandals arrived in stores on Thursday, May 15, in pink and silver for women, and black for men.

The women’s shoes are available in sizes 4-8, whilst men who’s feet are between sizes 7-11 will be able to nab a pair.

Unlike Lidl, which is only stocking shoes for adults, Aldi also has some cute navy and lilac sandals in kids sizes.

The kids shoes come in sizes 10-3, and are priced at just £4.99.

The shoes will be available in the middle aisle of your local Lidl, alongside a whole host of other great bargains, including linen shirts and dresses.

Lidl launches new middle aisle offers every Thursday and Sunday, but you better act fast, as once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Why do Aldi and Lidl have such fast checkouts

IF you’ve ever shopped in Aldi or Lidl then you’ll probably have experienced its ultra-fast checkout staff.

Aldi’s speedy reputation is no mistake, in fact, the supermarket claims that its tills are 40 per cent quicker than rivals.
It’s all part of Aldi’s plan to be as efficient as possible – and this, the budget shop claims, helps keep costs low for shoppers.
Efficient barcodes on packaging means staff are able to scan items as quickly as possible, with the majority of products having multiple barcodes to speed up the process.
It also uses “shelf-ready” packaging which keeps costs low when it comes to replenishing stock.

Also arriving in stores on Sunday is a stylish shirt dress priced at £9.99.

The breathable material makes it perfect to wear on hot days to the office, whilst the diverse range of colours, including olive and beige, means you can pick on up for every day of the week.

Ladies can also treat themselves to new shirts, in a two for £12 offer.

The Esmara Ladies’ Muslin Long Sleeve Shirts come in black and pink, and are priced at £6.99 if sold separately.

To accessorise your new look, why not treat yourself to the Esmara Ladies’ Cross Body Bag for just £6.99.

It comes in pink and cream, and the spacious pockets make it perfect for carrying all of your essentials.
