There’s plenty of last-minute fun to be had up and down the country – and with some cracking deals up for grabs, you won’t have to spend a fortune.

LONDON: DINNER AND GAMES FOR £14

There’s so much going on in London, but if you’re on a budget, head to the O2 Arena, where families can bag dinner and fun for under £15 a head.

Boom Battle Bar is a gamers’ haven with axe-throwing, augmented reality darts and shuffleboard games – which costs just £15 for a family of four.

There’s also a “crazier golf” course, so named because of its manic catapults and challenging loops.

Hungry? Swing by famous chicken joint Nandos. Here, kids under ten can tuck into a main, two sides and a drink or a dessert for less than £6.

Frankie & Benny’s – another family favourite – is also nearby, with classic cheeseburgers, hot dogs and pizzas.

BRIGHTON: FREE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Brighton has so much more than a fun-filled beach and colourful promenade.

The walled One Garden, five miles from the seafront, is hosting a special Bank Holiday event this Monday, with free live music and pop-up bars serving cold beers, wines and pizza.

Drop the kids off at the Stretch Tent for a free 45-minute show with the Mini Music Makers, where they’ll get to sing along and dance to some of their favourite songs, before the main performances kick off at midday.

Make sure to explore the 12 immaculate themed gardens while you’re here too – there’s a rain garden, a pollinator garden and even a medicinal garden.

GTR MANCHESTER: BARGAIN TRAIN RIDES WITH THOMAS

IF your little ones are Thomas fans, look no further than the East Lancashire Railway this weekend.

Not only will you get to spend 45-minutes choo-choo-ing your way through the rolling countryside aboard Thomas, but back at the station families can get stuck into singalongs with sweepers Rusty & Dusty and have a go on fun fair rides.

There’s also a magician, ­balloon- modelling and face-painting, plus plenty of Thomas giveaways.

DEVON: SEA SAFARI FOR A FIVER

KIDS near Devon can spend the afternoon splashing about in rock pools searching for sea creatures on this guided tour from the Devon Wildlife Trust.

Equipped with buckets, little ones will get up close to crabs and starfish at ­Wembury Marine Centre as they learn about the creatures’ habitats.

There’s some beautiful picnic spots around this unspoilt Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so pack some sandwiches for afterwards and soak up the ocean views, then stroll down to the beach for sandcastle building and sea kayaking.

The event takes place on Monday and costs £5 per adult and £5 per child.

SKEGNESS: 61 PER CENT OFF & UNLIMITED RIDES

FORGET costly theme parks and instead pick up one of Skegness Pier’s unlimited activity bracelets, which will bag you 61 per cent off attractions.

For £27 a head, you’ll get free use of the ten-pin bowling alley, climbing centre with angled walls and jumps, Laser Quest and the Hero Zone, where kids will have buckets of fun firing at targets with a ball blaster.
