Michael Jordan, Who Owns a Lavish Superyacht Worth Over 100 Average Lamborghinis, Acquired It for Nostalgic Reason

Michael Jordan is arguably the best player to ever grace the basketball court. Even though he accepted a lot of pay cuts during his playing career for the benefit of the team, he made a fortune. Michael Jordan made less than $100 million as an NBA salary, but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming a billionaire with an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion.

Michael Jordan owns some of the most expensive things in the world, including cars, real estate, custom planes, and whatnot. And recently Jordan’s stunning $80 million superyacht ‘Joy’ went viral on social media after Hornet’s annual holiday party.

Superyacht ‘Joy’

The superyacht is 230 feet in length, and about 9.78 feet long. It can reach a maximum speed of about 16 knots and the cruising rate is about 12 knots.

The Joy superyacht is a newly made and was launched in 2016. It has a total of 5 decks, each for different activities and purposes. Guests can choose between a variety of lifestyles like sports, beach life, or nightlife, depending on their mood.

Playing your favorite sport in the middle of the ocean is an experience in itself. And it was for this reason Michael Jordan reportedly bought the superyacht. The fourth deck has a basketball court and the prospect of Jordan suiting up 1-on-1 against his guests is something to behold.

And Jordan’s decision to purchase the yacht because of the basketball court says a lot about the man. His Airness made a fortune because of basketball and he still loves the game.

The most interesting part is that the fourth deck can be converted into any kind of game stack.
