5-Year-Old Novak Djokovic Enjoys an Ice Cream as a Reward After Tennis Practice

Novak Djokovic has had an impeccable tennis career filled with many glories. The Serb started playing the sport at the age of four. Further, he worked hard during his junior days to quickly move up the ranks. Despite the hardships faced due to the political situation back home, it did not deter the Serb to excel in tennis.

Subsequently, Djokovic has gone on to become one of the greatest players the sport has ever seen. He is a member of the famed ‘Big Three’ in tennis, comprising Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal along with him. Over his career spanning over 15 years, the 34-year-old has gone on to win an incredible 20 Grand Slam titles.

After one of the tennis practice sessions, a five-year-old Novak Djokovic received an ice cream as a reward for the hard work put in. He gleefully accepted the ice cream and asked, “Will you give me a spoon?” Further, at first, he refused to share the ice cream, but then gives a spoon of his reward with a smile on his face.

Djokovic has endured a contrasting season this year as compared to his illustrious career. He failed to defend his Australian Open title after being deported from Australia. Subsequently, he missed some important tournaments. The Serb momentarily lost his Number 1 ranking to Daniil Medvedev before reclaiming it shortly after.

Djokovic is in the Spanish capital to participate in the Madrid Open, his fourth tournament this season. He is the top seed in the tournament and has been handed a difficult draw at the tournament.
