Why do knickers have bows?
YOU probably do not give too much thought to why there are bows on knickers because you have gotten used to them.
Someone was curious on Reddit though and their post asking where there are bows on the front of knickers went viral with the surprising answer they got.

Why do knickers have bows on the front?
Whether you are buying your knickers from Primark or Victoria’s Secret, you will notice that they both have this one thing in common.
They both have a bow on the front.
This was kept on as a tradition from the times when underwear was not made with any elastic.
The bow was used to help underwear from falling and when elastic came in, they kept putting bows on the front to keep on the trend.

Some women admitted that now the bow helps them to see which way is the front and which one is the back, especially when they are dressing up in the dark.
This reason is also valid because back in the day before they had electricity when women woke up early, they had to wake up and dress in the dark or candlelight.
Why is there a bow on bras?
Just like knickers, bras have bows too.
And this is not too match the knickers that come with it.

Back when women wore corsets, they had to insert what it’s called a busk.
It’s like a piece of metal that was inserted in a sheath down the front and then tied with a bow.
When bras came around, they decided to keep the trend of having a bow on the front.

The heels helped them to improve their stability when getting up on the horse and even while riding it.
Nowadays, one wears heels either cause their fashionable and give an elegant look or to simply look taller.
Bucket hats
These hats become so popular in all countries.
They were originally known as fishing hats and they were worn mostly by farmers or fishermen to protect them from the rain and sun.
They were naturally waterproof, so on rainy days, the worker would not get his face soaked and risks catching a cold.
