The new Seattle Seahawks cornerback Coby Bryant is endearing himself to fans with this unique tribute to the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant. The former Cincinnati Bearcats player will be donning the No.8 jersey in Seattle that was made iconic by the Lakers legend in the NBA. While Coby Bryant was named after the Black Mamba, he will be determined to attempt to add more honor to this surname.

The 2022 NFL Draft was a successful hunting ground for the Seahawks franchise and became the 109th overall pick after a standout collegiate year. Last season, he was part of one of the most intimidating secondaries for any college football team.

The weight will be back on Bryant’s shoulders in his rookie NFL campaign as he hopes to carve out his own legacy.

Bryant even took to his official Instagram account to share an image of his No. 8 locker after wearing the No.7 jersey in college. He officially changed his jersey number from 7 to 8 during this year’s College Football Playoffs.

While explaining the change, Bryant states, “I just try to represent him as well as I can. The best way is to put the number 8 on. I took it back to vintage Kobe.
