Stone Cold Details How The Undertaker Destroyed His Precious Omega Watch on WWE Raw

Stone Cold Steve Austin has been one of the most celebrated icons in professional wrestling since the 90s. Even for the ones who don’t follow wrestling, Stone Cold is a renowned name as he has plied his trade in acting, production, hosting his own TV show, and, obviously, his distinctive brands.

Apart from wrestling, Austin 3:16 has a bunch of passions, notably beer, and watches. Now, many would not have noticed the second one, but The Texas Rattlesnake is hardly seen without some expensive wristwatch off the ring. Here’s a throwback story when The Undertaker destroyed one of his favorite watches in the ring back in 1998.

Fame makes a vast majority of people develop an obsession with expensive things. Looking back at WWE stars, cars, ornaments, and luxury properties have always captivated WWE legends, starting with Ric Flair. How The Undertaker mistakenly crushed Stone Cold Steve Austin’s expensive watch

Cody Rhodes, aka the American Nightmare, was the guest on the latest episode of Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions on WWE Network. While speaking about Rhodes’ famous Rolex watch collection, the WWE Hall of Famer complimented Cody Rhodes for how good the Rolex looks on him. Moreover, talking with a fellow ‘watch guy’, Steve Austin could not help but share his story.

“And my watch story was, you know, off-camera. We are talking about Omega. Of course, I had an Omega Seamaster chronograph. I have titanium, working on an angle with The Undertaker. And somehow the thing has knocked off my wrist, got pawed around the ring.”

“I’m on the floor looking over the apron. And I’m watching it. The Undertaker walks across the ring. He doesn’t see. That is the first watch that I had ever bought that was of value. Really meant something to me. Because I’m a time fanatic. And it just crunched, and he just absolutely demolishes and abandoned my watch,” The Texas Rattlesnake reminisced.

Nevertheless, it was the in-ring meet-up of Austin and Taker alongside Vince McMahon and Kane that kicked off the RAW segment on September 14, 1998. It is unforgettable how Austin and The Undertaker transcended the wrestling industry for many years through their unsurmountable legacies.
