Tom Brady Return Forces NFL Broadcasting to Trash NFL Schedule; Is The GOAT Still a Major Draw?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is the biggest draw within the National Football League and affects the league operation. Brady had an effect on the league with his surprise decision to unretire. It led the league to tinker with the fixture schedules after his decision. The NFL aims to present the best games to its fans whenever possible. The Buccaneers with Brady as their QB are box-office when they play.

While talking to Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times about the 2022 NFL schedule, NFL broadcasting chief Howard Katz states, “When Tom Brady retired, we were concerned about the strength of the NFC package because there were so many terrific Tampa Bay games we were looking at. Then a month later, he unretires, and we sort of started all over again.” The 7-time Super Bowl champion makes the Buccaneers franchise not just a contender on the field, but also on the airwaves.

Some NFL analysts also speculate this is a strategic move by the legendary QB to take on low-profile opponents. But it seems to have not worked out as the league will be going back to the drawing board following recent developments. Tom Brady is coming with a solitary goal in mind

The 15-time Pro Bowler is coming back following a sensational 22nd year in the league and showing his greatness with the football. Brady was crucial to the Buccaneers’ offense and their dominating performances in 2021. But it was their defensive line that was inconsistent and injury-prone that ultimately led to their downfall.

Their weakness came to the fore during the Divisional Round game against the Los Angeles Rams, who beat the Buccaneers by a scoreline of 30-27. But Brady was again the player who rallied their comeback, but it proved too little, too late.

The franchise would have been disappointed with this early exit and looking to get back to the Super Bowl in 2022.

The Buccaneers fans hope that Brady and his teammates will be looking for redemption in the upcoming NFL campaign. While 2021 was a nightmare due to an injury-plagued roster, the Buccaneers will be returning with a full-fit squad.
