Bugha’s net worth: The Fortnite player’s earnings in 2020/2021
Bugha has taken over the eSports scene in recent years, becoming one of the most exciting Fortnite players we’ve seen.
The youngster – real name Kyle Giersdorf – is still in his teens but captured global attention in 2019 when he beat the odds and won the Fortnite World Cup.
The accolade made him $3million (£2.1m) richer, and gained him worldwide acclaim.
Since, he’s not exactly slowed down, boasting a following of more than three million on YouTube, and four million on Twitch.
Not too shabby!
What is Bugha’s net worth?
Bugha’s net worth is estimated at $4million (£2.8m).
While he hasn’t confirmed this, it’s easy to see he has a variety of income streams.
Of course, his massive World Cup win instantly increased his wealth, with the prize money being the largest amount a single individual has won from an eSports event in history.
However, Bugha revealed he was going to be savvy with the cash.
‘I’m just going to save the money and invest it. I’m not going to do anything dumb with it really,’ he told ESPN.
As for immediate spendings? ‘I definitely want to get a new desk,’ he said. ‘That’s about it.’
Elsewhere, he likely makes some money through YouTube and Twitch, and has partnered with brands for some sponsored posts on Instagram, as well as selling his own merch.
How old is Bugha?
Bugha is still only 18.
Many were left stunned at his skills when he won the Fortnite World Cup at the age of 16.
‘It feels amazing, and the game has changed everyone’s lives drastically,’ he said at the time.
The gamer only started his career in 2019 but has already smashed it and even branched out into some other games – although Fornite is clearly still his speciality.
As well as the Fortnite World Cup, he’s won two PC Gamer of the Year Award’s, Esports PC Rookie of the year award, and multiple online tournament and events.
