The contestants for Love Island 2022 are coming in thick and fast, and Amber Beckford is one of them.

Amber is among the first batch of singletons announced for the upcoming ITV2 series and will join footballer Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma Owen in the new Majorcan villa.

Who is Amber Beckford?

Amber Beckford is a nanny from London. She decided to sign up for this year’s Love Island because now ‘just feels like the right time’.

‘I feel like now I’m most definitely ready, and wanting to look for a boyfriend,’ she says.

So, what gives Amber the ick? ‘I don’t like guys that show off,’ she admits. ‘I don’t like flashy, showy-offy guys – just have a personality and make me laugh.

‘There was this one guy and he was trying to purposefully show off his car keys and we were literally in the middle of a restaurant!’

Amber reckons she’ll bring a bit of fun to the villa. ‘I can definitely be opinionated so I’m not sure how that’s going to go down,’ she reveals.

‘As I work with kids I have patience with kids but adults, they annoy me!’

Amber is 24.
