Nick Grimshaw launches star-studded ‘hysterical’ food podcast with TV chef Angela Hartnett-Robert Oliver-Entertainment – Metro

Nick Grimshaw is about to be back on our airwaves with a brand new foodie podcast along with Angela Hartnett

Broadcaster Nick Grimshaw and restauranteur Angela Hartnett have unveiled a brand-new weekly food podcast series, and we’re salivating at the thought of it already.

The series, named Dish, will see former BBC radio host Nick, 37, and Gordon Ramsay protégé and Saturday Kitchen star Angela, 53, competing against the likes of other hit food podcasts including Jessie and Lennie Ware’s Table Manners, and Off Menu with comics Ed Gamble and James Acaster.

In the show, the pair will ‘invite listeners to pull up a seat at the table for delicious food, drink, and unfiltered, hilarious chat’ with a range of special guests.

The first episode will be released on June 8, with the first guest stars set to be Ted Lasso actors Phil Dunster and Hannah Waddington, whose other screen appearances include Game of Thrones and Sex Education.

Angela, a Michelin-star chef and star of foodie TV shows such as Great British Menu and Best Home Cook, will be cooking and preparing dishes of all kinds for their guests, while Nick (who cut his teeth in the kitchen in the Great Celebrity Bake-Off in 2021) will serve the drinks and interview the show’s guests.

The news comes just a few weeks after Nick announced his engagement to long-time partner Mesh Henry.

Set to appear throughout the season are Brit Award-winning singer Mabel, TV and radio-presenter Rylan Clark-Neal, and former Top Gear presenter James May, as well as newsreader Clive Myrie.

Speaking about the podcast, in association with Waitrose, Nick described Angela as ‘one of [his] food heroes’.

‘It’s going to see us doing what we do best, hosting dinners, serving drinks, and chatting for eternity – it’s going to be a lot of fun,’ he added.

Angela, who has also worked alongside Mary Berry during her career, said, ‘Working with Nick on this has been hysterical – I spend the whole time laughing.’

She continued: ‘What’s not to love about cooking, eating, drinking, and chatting with our dream dinner-party guests? I hope everyone enjoys it as much as we [enjoyed] recording it.’

Nick left the BBC last year following a 14-year career with the broadcasting company, and Waitrose Customer Director Martin George was ‘delighted’ to bring him on board.

‘We can’t wait for people to hear it,’ George said.

Video clips of the podcast will also be made available via the official Waitrose YouTube channel, allowing listeners to get even closer to the podcast.

Dish launches on June 8.
