Eamonn Holmes delighted to reveal huge secret on This Morning amid living in ‘waking nightmare’ during chronic pain battle

Eamonn Holmes is set to reveal a big secret on This Morning, promising fans it’s ‘that’ good it made him forget his chronic pain.

The 61-year-old has been in agony over the past week, being hospitalised in pain ‘like I’ve never experienced in my life’.

However, being a total trouper, he returned to This Morning alongside his wife Ruth Langsford on Monday determined to keep on working through his health battle.

Thankfully, it appears Eammon’s fortune is turning for the better as he’s teased some big news is coming on This Morning.

Tweeting his one million followers, he wrote: ‘Can u keep a secret? Got something to tell u at 11 am on Wednesday’s #ThisMorning.

‘I hope you will be happy for me because I am over the Moon. It’s even, for the moment, made me forget my #ChronicPain – yes it’s that good.’

On Monday’s This Morning, Eamonn revealed he recently hurt his back, ‘but didn’t really do anything’ about it.

‘So this chronic pain business, if you’ve been following my Twitter page, a month ago, I hurt my back,’ he told viewers.

‘I didn’t really do anything, it got worse and worse and worse, and it turned into chronic pain.

‘And basically, from the point of view that I literally could not sleep at night – night time was the absolute worst.’

However, speaking to Metro.co.uk, Keith Lemon and Emily Atack revealed the presenter soldiered on to film an episode of Celebrity Juice.

‘He’s just the best,’ said Emily. ‘He’s in a bit of pain at the moment, bless him, but he was a trouper, and he was a great laugh.’

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
