Are Love Island week 2’s couples hot or not? Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page most compatible as pair ‘go from strength to strength’-Charlotte Manning-Entertainment – Metro

Love island has really spiced up in week 2, and Metro.co.uk is back once again to give you the ultimate guide to how compatible the current couples are.

It feels like only yesterday 10 new islanders entered the Love Island villa in Majorca to try and find the love of their lives during their hot summer adventures.

Since then, we’ve seen two islanders – Liam Llewellyn and Afia Tonkmor – dumped from the island, with another set to wave goodbye to their fellow contestants tomorrow.

Of course, this comes after yet another twist as the latest bombshell Danica Taylor shocked the contestants as she made her first appearance during a raunchy ‘sex-sea’ challenge, with a recouping later ending on a cliffhanger.

It came after Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu’s explosive break-up when she lied and said she was not with Jay Younger after the pair had kissed just minutes before.

As viewers wait to see the full results of the recoupling, Louella Alderson, a relationship expert and co-founder of dating site SoSyncd, has once again provided her thoughts on exactly who are the most and least compatible pairings of the moment, exclusively for Metro.co.uk.

This week, Louella has placed Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, at the top of the list, while Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu trail at the bottom, after a very tense recoupling ended on a cliffhanger…

Tasha and Andrew

Tasha and Andrew’s night in the hideaway showed us there’s a sexy spark between them. They’ve proved since day one they know how to communicate in a straightforward and honest way, which can take some couples years to get right.

They lacked an element of sexual chemistry and it felt like a safe coupling, but they’ve now had the opportunity to spice things up. We saw a lot of maturity from Andrew in how he handled the new arrival, Jacques. When Amber asked if he cared that Tasha was talking to Jacques, Andrew said he didn’t. Amber and Luca felt this meant he didn’t care about Tasha. However, he behaved in a healthy way in this situation and jealousy is not a good indicator of how much people care. This kind of reaction often manifests in toxic relationships and leads to game playing.

Andrew stayed true to himself and communicated what he meant by this to Tasha after Amber ran off to tell her what happened. For Andrew, it was quite simple. He is secure enough that he didn’t see it as a threat. The real red flag was that the moment Jacques and Jay came into the villa, Tasha told the girls she was keen to get to know them.

Tasha and Andrew talked about their sexual fantasies and what they want to tick off their list. In a relationship, it’s important to communicate about everything, including sexual desires. This was also the first time we saw the real chemistry between this couple and Tasha said herself Andrew was like a new man that day.

They were the natural choice to take the hideaway for the night and they took advantage of this luxury. With some sexy lingerie, bunny ears and a “manicure” for Andrew, it’s safe to say it was a success. When new entrant Jay told Andrew he was giving more to the relationship than Tasha, she wasn’t happy. Tasha told Andrew she saw something in the outside world with him and nobody else in the villa. They are going from strength to strength and we’re excited to see where this goes.

Amber and Dami

Amber and Dami are still fairly solid (Picture: ITV/REX/Shutterstock)

Amber and Dami are still showing signs of strength as a couple. They are opening up more and becoming flirtier and more comfortable with each another. They are both easy-going people who aren’t putting too much pressure on their situation, and they are going with the flow. They are both grounded and level-headed people. This can be seen by their clear and mature communication.

On their date, the chemistry between them was pretty evident. They also got the opportunity to sit down and speak about what they are looking for in a relationship. Amber and Dami are both looking for a serious relationship… and they both want to go skydiving! It’s important to be on the same page with expectations from your partner and it definitely helps when you want the same thing.

We saw Amber start to doubt her and Dami’s compatibility, but she appeared to move on from that quite quickly. When relationships start in such an intense setting, people sometimes need to take some time to pause and really consider their feelings for one another. This isn’t a red flag, it’s a sensible reaction as it’s important to take the time to think about where the relationship is headed. It’s normal for Amber to question this at this stage in their coupling.

The only thing with Amber and Dami is their relationship hasn’t been challenged yet. None of the new islanders have caught their eye so they haven’t had to deal with turned heads or jealousy issues.

Gemma and Luca

Gemma and Luca seem okay for now, but may not last (Credits: ITV/REX/Shutterstock)

Gemma and Luca had a tough start to the week in the villa, but they seem to be a steady couple. Their relationship is already quite familiar, but they will need to work on a few things to really create a spark between them.

After becoming a new couple, Gemma’s ex-boyfriend entered the villa to shake things up. Gemma didn’t lose her cool at all and gave all the girls the go-ahead with him. She is mature for her age and this shows everyone that she really has moved on from Jacques. There will always be an element of familiarity with an ex, but if you are happy to see them with someone else, then it’s clear you don’t have feelings for them.

Luca, however, felt threatened, and he tried to mark his territory at any given moment. This shows his insecurity in his coupling with Gemma, and it feels like he gets the sense Gemma isn’t as into it as he is.

Gemma is playing her cards close to her chest and she has been since the start of the season. We don’t get the impression that she is really into Luca that much. It feels like she is keeping her distance and waiting for the right boy to come into the villa. Gemma will need to let her guard down to connect with Luca on a more meaningful level if they want to have a chance in the outside world.

Gemma and Luca are both logical people but there is a danger they can both be stuck in their ways in some situations, and they might need to make a conscious effort to put themselves in the other person’s shoes to understand their point of view.

Luca has fallen quite quickly for Gemma and is putting his all into her. He isn’t interested in any new entrants. However, Gemma isn’t giving anywhere near as much to this relationship. She was offended when new boys Remi and Jay didn’t choose her for one of their dates and she was the only girl not to have been picked. Gemma didn’t want to appear married off to him yet. This shows that Gemma isn’t fully committed to Luca.

They have a laugh together but we aren’t fully convinced that this couple is solid and will go the distance. We are looking forward to seeing what new entrants into the villa will do for this couple.

Paige and Jacques

Bombshell Jacques is enjoying getting to know Paige (Picture: ITV/REX/Shutterstock)

Paige and Jacques coupled up at the beginning of the week, but we haven’t seen a lot from them during this time. Jacques had a choice between Afia and Paige, and he had a stronger connection with Paige. Whether he would’ve chosen Paige if he had the choice of every girl in the villa, we can’t be sure.

Paige and Jacque have the potential to be a strong couple. Both Paige and Jacques are outgoing, and they enjoy being around people, so they will have no trouble keeping each other entertained. It’s likely that they’ll also appreciate each other’s sense of humour and ability to have fun.

We haven’t seen a lot of direct communication between this pair with regard to their relationship and they haven’t had to face any challenges so far. However, when it comes to communication, Paige tends to place more of an emphasis on feelings while Jacques places more importance on logic. There is a danger that Jacques can be too direct in the way he communicates which can upset Paige and cause friction in the relationship. In order to avoid this, Jacques should make it clear that he respects Paige’s feelings.

We saw Jacques and Paige have a few cuddles and there’s obviously a physical attraction between them. They are yet to kiss but Jacques expressed how he wanted this to be special and when the time was right. This shows a more sensitive side to Jacques. It will be interesting to see how this couple plays out over the next week or so as they aren’t one of the strongest couples but they also aren’t one of the weakest.

Ikenna and Indiyah

Indiyah and Ikenna are ‘incompatible’ according to Louella (Picture: ITV/REX/Shutterstock)

Ikenna and Indiyah only further confirmed their incompatibility after this week. Indiyah has said there is no sexual chemistry between them, and he is too laid back for her. The spark between a couple can definitely develop over time, but in an intense situation like Love Island when you are spending 24/7 together, it will likely manifest a lot more quickly than in the real world. When Ekin-Su asked Indiyah if she wanted to rip Ikenna’s clothes off, she responded with, “That’s a hard one,” which we took to mean no!

We haven’t really seen Ikenna talk about his relationship with anyone except Indiyah. This probably isn’t a good sign in itself! Ikenna is enjoying his time with the guys in the villa and seems to forget he is there to find love and a partner.

They did have their first kiss this week but that was definitely Indiyah making a move and dropping a lot of hints before Ikenna clocked on. Understandably, Indiyah didn’t want to force anything with Ikenna but at the same time, she wanted to know if the spark was there between them. She has told him multiple times she wants more from him but hasn’t really listened or offered anything.

Indiyah is looking for that deeper connection that Ikenna just isn’t offering. She needs reassurance in a relationship, and she’s communicated her feelings to Ikenna. The only time he stepped up was when Remi entered the villa and chose Indiyah to make his starters for their date. After that, Ikenna felt rattled and made Indiyah breakfast. But it’s too little too late.

Like Indiyah herself said, we’re bored of ‘seeing how it goes’ and we think this couple should call it a day. We see more of a connection between Indiyah and Remi and we’re excited to see what this recoupling could bring!

Ekin-Su and Davide

It’s been a very fiery week for Ekin-Su and Davide (Picture: ITV/REX/Shutterstock)

They started the week as a new couple, both excited to get to know each other and explore their relationship more. And they have ended the week on a very different note! These two have big egos and a fiery temper which means it isn’t a great dynamic.

Ekin-Su and Davide didn’t waste any time getting stuck into their couple and they had a few kisses off the bat. There was a lot of physical attraction between them, but it was never going to be anything more than that. Davide and Ekin-Su had a lot in common in the ‘Never Have I Ever’ game, that’s for sure. And had there been no new entrants they could’ve had a good time together flirting.

With the new guy, Jacques, Davide stepped up a bit. However, the moment Jacques chose Paige in the recoupling, Davide knew he was safe. He was the only guy in the villa not to bring his girl a morning drink, which isn’t a big deal, but when every other guy in the villa is doing so, it could feel like a big deal if you’re the one girl left out.

Ekin-Su’s head was completely turned when Jay went into the villa. She knew that was who she wanted, and she went for it. Davide really wasn’t giving her much from their couple and it was very early days so going after the new people if you see something more in them is the name of the game!

More: Trending

Both Ekin-Su and Davide behaved poorly in their argument and there was a fundamental breakdown in communication which is important for any couple in a relationship. For starters, Ekin-Su lied to Davide which is never a good sign. Then they ended up talking over each other. For any successful relationship, especially when both people have big personalities, it’s important to remember to listen to each other as well as talk.

Unsurprisingly, this couple is the least compatible this week. Ekin-Su has more of a connection with Jay, but Danica might ruffle some feathers with this recoupling.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
