Love Island fans are hardcore invested as Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu’s ‘enemies to lovers’ arc blossoms-Tori Brazier-Entertainment – Metro

Tuesday’s episode of Love Island brought all the drama hoped for with chaos stemming from its ever-dependable heart rate challenge.

However, one couple in particular were thrilling fans with their rollercoaster romance and that was of course  Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti, who appear to be realising the enemies to lovers arc before our very eyes.

The on-off couple (currently off) dived into the challenge with admirable determination as Ekin-Su raised pulses with her bridal get-up, while Davide went for black briefs and a Zorro-esque eye mask.

Ahead of their performances, Ekin-Su even confessed that her target was Davide following some pretty serious flirting between the pair.

However, let’s not forget that he was charming enough to recently compare his connection to her with ‘expired food’, so things remain… complicated.

Before that, they were coupled up soon after bombshell Ekin-Su’s arrival before she caused the villa’s first bout of chaos by turning her head to Jay Younger, and leaving Davide fuming to say the least.

Things then went to pot when Jay admitted he was interested in Paige Thorne and recoupled with her, but now Davide is coupled up with Danica Taylor and Ekin-Su, has been getting to know new boy Charlie Radnedge.

Cut to tonight and the duo successfully managed to raise each other’s heart rates the most, leading to much whooping from their fellow islanders and yells of ‘meant to be’.

When they went off for a chat, the pair were still playing games though, with neither prepared to confess to the other that they were still interested.

However, Ekin-Su did admit she had been ‘an idiot’ before (we assume referring to her crawling on the ground to sneak kisses from Jay) and both were flirting majorly with Davide agreeing they were ‘friends… sort of.’

As they look more and more likely to fulfil the popular enemies to lovers romance trope, Love Island viewers were delighted to see it playing out before their eyes.

‘Davide and Ekin-Su is a real love story,’ tweeted one satisfied viewer. ‘They loved each other, tried to kill each other now they can cause chaos together.’

‘Seriously rooting for Davide and Ekin sue [sic] enemies to lovers pls,’ commented another.

One fan confessed: ‘Davide and Ekin-Su lovers to enemies to lovers is making me squeal.’

Only time will tell what Love Island has in pair for the couple.
