WWE superstar Shotzi has fired back after backlash over her role in the Money In The Bank ladder match.

The SmackDown wrestler was part of Saturday night’s huge bout which saw Liv Morgan capture the coveted briefcase before cashing in her contract and beating Ronda Rousey for the women’s championship.

The high risk, energetic match kept fans entertained throughout despite a couple of slip-ups in the ring, and some online trolls have attacked Shotzi for her mishaps with others calling for her job.

At one moment, the 30-year-old star slipped as she ran up a ladder leaning in the corner, while she and Alexa Bliss fell into a ladder as she was lifting her opponent onto her shoulders.

In a lengthy and emotional statement, she wrote: ‘I can take a joke and laugh at myself (One of the first things I said was “I can’t wait to see that spot on botchamania”) but comments like “you should be fired” and other terrible things admittedly hit hard.

‘I had to have a few friends wipe the tears off my face and slap some sense into me and remind me WHO THE F I AM! That being said, all my haters can SUCK MY BIG GIANT HAIRY MANGOS! (sic)’

Shotzi insisted she has three goals for every match, and she ticked all those boxes during the Money In The Bank bout on Saturday night.

She said: ‘There are 3 things I care about at the end of a match. Is everyone safe? Did everyone have fun? Did the crowd react?

‘Nobody got hurt. We all had a blast and the Vegas crowd was HotHotHot! I felt on top of the world after that match and was so excited to finally have my first hardcore match in over a year.

‘I wouldn’t have done anything I didn’t practice or thought I couldn’t do safely. But I’m not a wrestle robot, I’m human and slips happen especially in a CHAOTIC UNPREDICTABLE ladder match!’

After she shared her statement, Shotzi has been supported by her fans and fellow stars, including WWE presenter Kayla Braxton.

She replied: ‘Girl you are incredible In so many ways. These idiots sitting at home licking powder cheese off their fingers and then sticking them down their pants don’t deserve any of your energy. You are a rockstar. And I for one LOVE watching you in the ring. (sic)’

While Alexa herself added: ‘This is why I don’t like Twitter most of the time – ppl are always to bash everything – if people only knew what all goes into what we do – & the chaos of that day haha everyone is safe & we all had fun (sic)’
