Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell gush over newborn daughter Grace Warrior: ‘Two weeks of happiness’
Bindi Irwin and her husband Chandler Powell celebrated the two-week anniversary of their daughter Grace Warrior’s birth.
The new parents posed for new social media pictures in which they looked absolutely besotted with their little bundle of joy.
Chandler, 24, dotingly cradled the youngster while 22-year-old Bindi held on to a sign which read: ‘Two weeks old’.
In the caption of the post, which was shared on Chandler’s Instagram, he added the caption: ‘2 weeks of happiness with my girls.
‘And yes, I’m already that Dad who shares baby photos with everyone and I’m proud of it!’
Announcing the family’s arrival on March 25, Bindi said she celebrated the ‘two loves of her life’ on the same day and explained the heartwarming meaning behind her little girl’s name.
‘Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light,’ she wrote.
‘Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s.
‘Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.
‘There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl. She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed.’
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Bindi will star in a new television special about her pregnancy and newborn baby girl.
Bindi and Chandler will star in an upcoming series of Crikey! It’s The Irwins, as well as a one-off special called Crikey! It’s a Baby.
The name of the show is in honour of her late father Steve’s catchphrase as he investigated and looked after wild animals.
Crikey! It’s a Baby will follow Bindi as she breaks the news to her mother Terri and brother Robert for the first time, and all the preparations made in the run up to the birth.
The animal-loving Australian family will all feature in the series.
