Even Kate Beckinsale has admitted she has been totally glued to this year’s Love Island after the 2022 series has smashed records for ITV2.

The nation has been gripped by the chaos of Ekin-su Cülcüloğlu, the agonising love triangles and Davide Sanclimenti thinking celibacy is a holiday destination.

It’s quite the time to be alive, and A-lister Kate is among those who just can’t get enough.

‘It’s like watching a true crime and you can’t stop it,’ she said. ‘It’s a bit like a car crash.’

Understandably, the Underworld actress, 48 – who has dated the liked of Pete Davidson, Michael Sheen and rapper Goody Grace – ruled out ever entering the villa herself.

‘I have been watching Love Island and, before you ask, I don’t want to apply. I haven’t been offered any reality TV gigs and I don’t think my family would let me,’ she added to Daily Mail.

‘It looks like hell and just the worst thing to be on. First off, I don’t like dating, and, second, I don’t like being at a pool with lots of people that I don’t know.’

Love Island is renown for it’s A-list fans, with the likes of Margot Robbie, Millie Bobby Brown, Richard Curtis, Vanessa Hudgens and Chrissie Teigen all obsessed.

And rightly so.

The current series of Love Island has received the highest ratings for the series since 2019 and is widely thought of as the best series yet.

And we haven’t even got to the Casa Amor recoupling which kicks off tonight with Laura Whitmore crashing into the villa and ‘scaring’ Dami Hope.

Amazing.
