Lisa Marie Presley has paid tribute to her son Benjamin Keough on the second anniversary of his death and shared a sweet way they are still connected.

His 54-year-old mother has now revealed a heartwarming way she is ‘eternally’ connected to her son through their matching tattoos. 

Lisa Marie opened up about their special inks, which they had done on Mother’s Day a few years ago, the design being of a Celtic eternity knot on their feet. 

Alongside a photo of her and her late son’s feet showcasing their tattoos, Lisa Marie penned: ‘My son and I got these matching tattoos on our feet.’

As she explained: ‘It’s a Celtic eternity knot. Symbolizing that we will be connected eternally. We carefully picked it to represent our eternal love and our eternal bond.’

She finished the caption with an emoji of a broken heart.

The singer-songwriter has been very open on social media about the ‘hideous’ and heartbreaking grief she’s experienced since Benjamin’s death.

A few months ago, Lisa Marie expressed how she would be grieving ‘forever’ over her son and that her loss has ‘shattered her heart’.

In a heartfelt post, she began: ‘I haven’t posted in quite some time because there really isn’t much to say, as I am and will forever be mourning the loss of my son.

‘Navigating through this hideous grief that absolutely destroyed and shattered my heart and my soul into almost nothing has swallowed me whole.’

Lisa Marie explained that most of her ‘time and attention’ is now focused on the wellbeing of her other children. 

She had Benjamin with her ex-husband Danny Keough along with her actress daughter, Riley, 32. They were married from 1988 to 1994.

She also has twin daughters, Harper and Finley, 13 who she shares with her ex-husband Michael Lockwood, who she was married to from 2006 to 2021.

Lisa Marie was also married to Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage in the mid-1990s and early-2000s respectively.

At the time of Benjamin’s death, a spokesperson for the family shared a statement with Deadline to announce the horrific news.

They spokesperson said about Lisa Marie at the time: ‘[Presley] is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley.’

Before adding that Benjamin was the ‘love of her life’ and she ‘adored that boy.’
