Love Islanders claim ‘cursed’ beanbag is real reason for Ekin-Su Culculoglu’s bust-up with Davide Sanclimenti-Rachael O'Connor-Entertainment – Metro

The Love Island contestants have been sharing secrets about the villa, and it turns out there’s a good old-fashioned curse in play.

According to the 2022 cast, there’s been a reason for all the drama in this series, and it’s not just Casa Amor.

No – the real reason is a ‘cursed’ yellow beanbag.

On Saturday’s Love Island Unseen Bits, viewers were treated to the islanders explaining that any time someone sat on that particular seat, they were guaranteed to get into drama.

Ekin-Su Culculoglu, speaking to the camera, revealed one of her latest bust-ups with Davide Sanclimenti wasn’t because of Adam Collard but because she ‘sat on the yellow beanbag.’

‘That bloody yellow beanbag, I hate it,’ she groaned.

A later clip saw Davide walking over to the boys and taking the only free seat, which just so happened to be you-know-what.

He was asked if he was really planning on sitting on the cursed seat, to which he replied: ‘Yeah, I don’t give a f*** about nothing.’

(The programme then cut to Davide’s now classic one-liner towards Ekin-Su – ‘You’re as fake as the Louis Vuitton from China!’ Which, as we now know, was actually the beanbag’s fault.)

At the beginning of Wednesday’s episode, the Italian islander admitted: ‘I don’t know if I can fully trust her.’

He added: ‘I don’t know if she wants to flirt or not. This is something I need to find out because I need to find out if she’s genuine or if she’s still the Ekin-Su of the beginning.’

That quickly devolved into Davide branding her the ‘fakest person’ he’s ever met, and confronting her for ‘looking at’ Adam.

Davide accused Ekin-Su of looking at bombshell Adam whenever he walked past, with Ekin-Su insisting he’s ‘overthinking’.

‘You are a very good player,’ Davide insisted

After the bust-up, Davide could be heard muttering: ‘F***ing yellow beanbag,’ while Ekin-Su declared the seat had ‘p***ed me right off now.’

It wasn’t just Davide and Ekin-Su who fell to the beanbag’s curse , as an unbelieving Josh dismissed all warnings and sat right into it.

Later, after his own major argument with Danica, he admitted: ‘I sat on the beanbag today and it f***ed me up.’

Josh would later be sent home in a devastating double elimination which saw him and Coco pack their bags.

The pair were eliminated via public vote – which could mean the beanbag’s powers are strong enough to influence viewers. Scary thought.
