Love Island 2022 has just a few weeks left, which is plenty of time for four new bombshells to shake things up.

Existing couples Adam Collard and Paige Thorne, Gemma Owen and Luca Bish and Andrew Le Page and Tasha Ghouri will have their romances put to the test by the new arrivals.

First, the public will find out which two out of the four at-risk islanders will be sent home by their fellow contestants, with Danica Taylor, Summer Botwe, Billy Brown and Dami Hope on the chopping block.

Let’s meet one of the newest bombshells, footballer Jamie…

Who is Jamie Allen?

Jamie Allen is a professional footballer from Preston, who most recently played for FC Halifax Town.

He previously played for Fleetwood Town, Southport and Dover Athletic, and plays internationally for Montserrat, debuting for the team in 2019 in a match against El Salvador.

Jamie’s status at Halifax is now TBC, though, after the club ominously wrote on Twitter that ‘the matter will be reviewed on his return’ from appearing on the ITV2 dating show.

The footballer is hoping to find love in the villa – admitting before meeting the other Islanders: ‘I am just going to be myself, good vibes, good energy, get along with anyone, the boys, the girls, but the main objective is to find someone.

‘My friends would say I am the one that gets all the girls, my family would say I am confident, funny and easy to get along with.’

But he adds that he won’t be quick to make any moves on the current Islanders, as he likes to ‘play it cool, I wouldn’t be straight over there trying to chat to them’.

He adds: ‘I haven’t been in love [before].

‘I am a really slow burner, and I’ve got a high guard all the time. It takes a lot for that barrier to come down, but once it is down, I am all for it.

‘I’d just be myself [with a love interest] and if that’s not enough for that person, then clearly I am not right for them.’

But if someone does catch his eye? His line of work as a sportsperson has made him pretty competitive.

He said: ‘I play football every single day and in terms of stepping on people’s toes, we are all in there for the same reason so I wouldn’t have a problem upsetting a few people.

‘I am coming in a bit later so I probably will upset a few lads but you gotta do what you gotta do.’

How old is Jamie Allen?

Jamie is currently 27 years old. He was born on May 25, 1995, meaning he is a Gemini – so a new star sign to add to villa dynamics.

It’s his age has inspired him to search for love in the iconic Majorcan villa, Jamie notes.

He explains: ‘Now I am 27, I want to find someone, have a genuine connection and fall in love so Love Island is the perfect place for me to find that.

‘My first girlfriend was when I was 18, but I liked going out clubbing so I thought there’s no point being in a relationship when I am going out, enjoying myself.

‘I’ve got that all out of my system and ready to settle down.

‘I am loyal, I’ve only ever had two girlfriends but when I am fully committed I am completely loyal. I am a confident lad, not arrogant. I am also very trustworthy when I am in a relationship.’
