Laura Whitmore is not one to shy away from sharing life updates on social media, and her newest update gave fans a very close look indeed.

The Love Island presenter is currently in sunny Spain as the 2022 series prepares to come to an end, and when she’s not presenting Sunday’s Aftersun she’s taking the time to relax.

On Thursday, Laura really let her Instagram followers into her life as she joked that a stranger had been giving her encouragement during her ‘morning poo.’

Taking to her Stories, the star shared a video from her bathroom, with the caption: ‘Could hear someone shouting “Come on you can do it!” during my morning poo and it was very helpful.’

‘Thanks,’ she added.

The presenter then went to the window of the toilet where, through the gap, viewers were shown that a fitness class was going on below.

The outdoor spin class saw gym-goers cycling as fast as they could while the leader shouted words of encouragement.

So, not quite aimed at Laura – but at least she appreciated it.

The presenter’s quirky new video comes after it was confirmed she would be stepping down from her BBC Radio 5 Live show which she has hosted since 2018.

Rumours that Laura had stepped away from the show emerged earlier this week, with a source suggesting to The Sun she wanted to focus on Love Island.

The news was later confirmed by BBC Radio 5 Live controller Heidi Dawson, who did not give a reason for Laura’s departure but said it had been a ‘difficult decision’ for the presenter.

In a statement, Heidi said: ‘Laura has made the difficult decision to leave her weekend show after a brilliant four years.

‘We’d like to thank her for the energy, insight and humour she has brought to this programme and look forward to working with her again in the near future.’

The star took over presenting Love Island from her friend, the late Caroline Flack, in 2020, and this year the show has enjoyed its biggest launch audience since 2019.

However it hasn’t been without its controversies, with the dating show garnering over 3,000 viewer complaints over a number of scenes aired in recent days.
