Kaye Adams has opened up about her ‘shocking’ hearing result after being tested for Loose Women.
In a segment filmed for the ITV show, the 59-year-old visited a doctor to test her ears after revealing her inability to hear had been ‘scary’ at times.
The Scot said she had been having problems for around five years and was tired of ‘making excuses the whole time’ when she is unable to follow conversations.
Kaye’s children have also been winding the presenter up over her hearing difficulties as she admitted she had become a ‘joke’ with them.
After the examination, Kaye was shown a graph indicating her hearing levels in each ear.
The medic then informed Kaye, to her surprise, she was losing the ability to hear in both ears, although one was worse than the other.
The former The Wright Stuff panelist admitted she was not expecting that outcome and looked astonished when the doctor advised her to wear hearing aids in both ears.

Back in the studio, Kaye reacted to the results along with costars Katie Piper, Carol McGiffin, and Sunetra Sarker.
Kaye said the news was a real ‘shock’, with Katie, 38, showing her support, saying she ‘really feels’ for her colleague.
Love Island star Tasha Ghouri came into the conversation after Kaye praised the ITV show’s first-ever deaf contestant for wearing her cochlear implant on TV.

Before entering the villa, Tasha called bing deaf her ‘super power’.
She said: ‘I have a super power, I was born deaf. It doesn’t define me.
‘It’s part of who I am that makes me special and unique.’
