Paige Thorne has admitted it ‘crossed her mind’ to leave the villa with Jacques O’Neill when he made his tearful exit over two weeks ago.
The Welsh paramedic was dumped from the villa today, one night before the final, alongside returning bombshell Adam Collard.
But, she did actually think about leaving before she had even gotten to know Adam, when Jacques made his decision.
Reflecting on whether she would have left with Jacques, Paige admitted: ‘It did cross my mind a little bit to leave with him, but things hadn’t been 100% all the way through, and the fact that they weren’t was what made me think.
‘The fact that I stayed and I gave 100% to the experience and found something new and something more suited towards me just goes to show that everything happens for a reason.’

Paige’s comments follow a subtle dig she made at Jacques while on her final date with Adam.
While Jacques had given his blessing for Paige to carry on, he had promised to be waiting for her at the airport.

But she was cracking on with Adam, telling him on their romantic boat date: ‘Obviously, my journey started off a little bit different. But since you’ve come in I’ve been non-stop smiling.

‘Even if everyone was still in the villa, it would be you out of them all, that I can see a potential future with for sure.
‘And I’ve just honestly enjoyed every second.’

She later gushed to the girls about how it was her ‘best date ever’, adding: ‘Honestly, my Love Island experience has been two separate stories, I went through a really rough, rocky start at the beginning, I was unhappy, I did a lot of crying, I had good times too but they just were not compared to what I’ve got now.
‘He’s exactly what I’ve been looking for, and he’s ticking all my boxes.’
Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2.
