It’s been more than a month since Beyonce released Break My Soul and, alas, we’re still waiting for the visuals which will no doubt look fire.

However, before Queen Bey has had a chance to bless us with the anticipated music video, British pop star Jess Glynne has beat her to the punch by not only remixing the dance tune, but recording a whole video herself.

Break My Soul is the lead single from Beyonce’s sixth album Renaissance, which was released last Friday.

Needless to say, Jess’ move has left many Beyonce fans with whiplash.

After a lengthy social media hiatus, Jess, 32, returned to Instagram this week to share her version of Break My Soul, featuring her own lyrics and slight reworking of the vocals.

‘Made a few cutbacks, had a few setbacks, girl had to realign. Thought I would react but I’m back on track, everything great takes time,’ Jess sings, likely referring to reports she cut ties with her record label earlier this year.

The visuals opens with Jess posing outside a peep show before twerking in a room and pulling a series of dance moves in a park.

She then takes a trip in a taxi and stops off at a petrol station where she strikes fierce poses by the pumps, as you do, before returning to the peep show and having a good ol’ time with her girls.

Jess’ fans were thrilled to see her pop up on their Instagram feed again and hear new music from her, with one reacting: ‘Her voice is so unique.’

‘Absolutely love this,’ one said, while another enthused: ‘She’s back and hotter than ever,’ and another Jess fan said they were ‘screaming’.

However, other Beyonce fans were disappointed that Jess released her version before the singer herself, with one commenting: ‘I mean she’s cute n all but did she get B’s god honest approval to do this? I think nottttt.’

Another stated: ‘It’s too early for remixes and covers of a song that already sounds like a perfect remix.’

A fan of both singers said: ‘Oh wow. I like Jess Glynne but this is a no.’

‘We DIDN’T ask for this, girlie,’ another said.

Some stepped in to defend Jess, including one supporter who tweeted: ‘You will let Jess Glynne live her best life!!’

On a lighter note, one fan wondered: ‘Why’s she outside a londis doin this?’

Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself singer Jess deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts after receiving abuse from trolls.

A  source told The Sun at the time: ‘It has been a horrid few weeks for Jess.

‘She feels so upset about the whole situation and really felt like the only way to escape was to delete her accounts.’
