Love Island star Jazmine Nichol has revealed she has been rushed off to hospital for surgery after becoming ‘really unwell’.

The 21-year-old reality star, who featured in this year’s eighth series of the ITV2 dating show, alerted her followers to her health concern in a worrying post shared on her Instagram page.

Jazmine posted a black and white photo from her hospital bed, which appeared to show her wrist wired up to machines.

‘Update for you all,’ she penned. ‘I’ve taken really unwell so I’ll be off my phone and not shooting any content for a while till I’ve recovered from surgery. I’m in good hands though.’

She did not share any further details about what happened.

Jazmine made her grand Love Island entrance during Casa Amor week during this summer’s edition, which eventually saw Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti crowned the winners.

Her stint in the villa didn’t last long though, as she was dumped after the week was up along with Mollie Salmon, and Cheyanne Kerr.

Following her exit, Jazmine responded to claims she went ‘missing’ during Casa Amor as viewers who pointed out she barely appeared in the episodes complained about her lack of airtime.

‘I have no control over the final edit for the show,’ she penned, in response to a fan’s question about why she was ‘barely shown’.

‘However, they had to fit 24 people into 1 hour so it’s important to remember that.

‘I certainly didn’t stop talking and laughing with everyone though or doing silly dances though.’
