Gladiators hun Kim Betts – better known as ‘Lightning’ to you or us – has dug out her old costume and fashioned her signature look for the first time since appearing on the ITV show.

After more than 30 years since it first arrived on our screens, Gladiators is back and, yes, John Anderson, we are ready.

Gladiators was basically the must-see event of the week every Saturday night and Betts was without a doubt one of the most popular stars of the show.

No wonder then she was asked to join former co-stars Hunter (James Crossley) and Saracen (Michael Lewis) on Wednesday’s This Morning and before her appearance she struck her iconic pose in her trademark Lightning uniform.

And she looks pretty phenomenal, to be honest.

Putting on her old leotards, Betts told her followers: ‘This is a bit like trying on a wedding dress 30 years later.

Phenomenal, tbh (Picture: Kim Betts)

‘These haven’t touched my skin since I wore them.’

Obviously her fandom went wild, with one posting: ‘You will always be amazing , so many good memories.’

Another equally delighted follower echoed their sentiments, adding: ‘Love this so much, you were such a huge inspiration and still are now- u look phenomenal.’

Since Gladiators ended, Betts has become an entrepreneur and body builder, recently stunning fans with her absolutely shredded physique.

Gladiators was basically the must-see event of the week every Saturday night and Betts was without a doubt one of the most popular stars of the show.

Fresh from being at the helm of the Women’s Euros 2022, which of course saw England’s Lionesses bring football home, Alex Scott is heavily tipped to host the reboot on BBC which is expected to hit screens in 2023.
