Upon exiting the Love Island villa, most Islanders take the influencer route, but Paige Thorne is itching to get back to her day job.

The Welsh star narrowly missed out on a place in the final with now official boyfriend Adam Collard, but the pair couldn’t be more loved up as they settle into life as a couple in the outside world.

Prior to appearing on the ITV2 dating show, Paige worked as a paramedic and she has no plans to hang up her uniform any time soon.

Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine on Friday, Paige – who was originally coupled up with Jacques O’Neill before he left the Majorcan villa – shared how she got major FOMO (fear of missing out) after the show ended and she heard an ambulance with sirens blaring.

‘I’ve got a meeting to go back to paramedic work, so that will be exciting,’ she said.

‘I actually saw an ambulance the other day with sirens on and I had like, serious FOMO. I was like, get me my ambulance back!

‘So yeah, I’m gonna go back into that a little bit and just see what other opportunities come’.

Host Ranvir Singh praised Paige for wanting to go back to her old job, telling her: ‘People will be glad to hear that, because public service jobs often aren’t considered glamorous or the higher offers influencers get these days.’

Boyfriend Adam chipped in to fawn over his new beau, saying with a smile: ‘I think people will be surprised to hear how much she actually spoke about it in the villa as well.’

The 2018 troublemaker turned 2022 heartthrob said Paige’s love for her job is one of the things he loves about her.

‘It’s one of those things, I genuinely just love my job so why wouldn’t I wanna go back to it?’, Paige added, stating that she will be exploring other offers on the side.

Meanwhile, Newcastle lad Adam has been on the show before, so has already experienced being rocketed to fame and all the job offers that come with it, now working in fitness and running his own gym.

But, he said that he and Paige have ‘got each other’s backs’ and are there for support when life gets a bit crazy, thanks to the whole world now knowing who they are.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
