The Davina McCall-fronted dating show, Language Of Love, has reportedly been shelved by Channel 4.
Davina teamed up with hunky Spanish host Ricky Merino to host the new Channel 4 ‘dating experiment’ that aired earlier this year.
The eight-part series followed a group of Brits and a group of Spaniards pairing up at a luxe Spanish country estate.
This was all in an attempt to see if sparks could fly between them, despite not speaking each other’s language.
However, while the concept was met with fairly positive reviews, it seems it failed to strike much of a chord with fans.
Despite being fronted by TV presenting royalty, Davina, it’s reported the show has now been axed by the broadcaster.

A source revealed: ‘Channel 4 thought that Language Of Love had all the ingredients to be a hit, especially with Davina at the helm.
‘But unfortunately the premise didn’t seem to strike a chord with the public. It was unable to generate a lot of engagement on social media and it then lost steam as the series went on.
There are reportedly no plans to bring it back for a second series (Picture: Channel 4)
The insider went on to claim there are ‘no current plans’ for more, adding to The Sun: ‘But it was an entertaining experiment and the central format is quite repeatable, so Language Of Love might end up living to see another day.’
It’s reported that just 200,000 viewers tuned in to watch the finale in February, while rival dating show Love Island drew over 3million for its final episode earlier this month.
Davina has a busy year ahead, as she’ll be a part of the panel on The Masked Dancer, which soon return to ITV for a second outing.

She’ll be back with panellists Oti Mabuse and Jonathan Ross, while former England footballer Peter Crouch relates Mo Gilligan, due to commitments elsewhere.
Fans will have to wait until the autumn to find out which stars are hiding behind the weird and whacky costumes, when host Joel Dommett unveils each celebrity one by one.
