Star Wars’ trap obsessed Mon Calamari is getting an exclusive new Black Series action figure at MCM London Comic Con in October.
Return of the Jedi will be 40 years old next year and you can expect to see some major celebrations from all corners of the Star Wars universe. They begin though at the MCM London Comic Con in October, with the release of an exclusive Admiral Ackbar figure that’s certain to sell out as quickly as fans can queue up for it.
The figure is from the prestige Black Series line, which means it’s 6” tall instead of the 3¾” of traditional Star Wars figures. That allows for a lot more detail than usual, with a new take on the previous Black Series version, that comes on an old school blister card.
To get a hold of one you’ll have to be at the MCM London Comic Con (or its Italian equivalent) between October 28 and 30, and hope that they don’t run out of stock by the time you get there.
If you do miss out, then the figure will be available from Hasbro Pulse from November 2, but only in very limited quantities and once stock is gone that’s it forever.
Either way, the figure is priced at £29.99 – only slightly more than other standard Black Series figures and considerably less than some of the bigger ones.

Although the figure is accurate to the movie design there’s also a homage to the original Kenner action figure from 1982, as it comes with a baton that he never had in the movie – as well as a standard blaster.
He also features multiple points of articulation, much more than the 3¾” figures, so you can put him in any pose you like. The only thing he doesn’t come with is a big speech bubble saying, ‘It’s a trap!’ But you can add that yourself.
MCM London Comic Con takes place from October 28 to 30 at ExCeL, London.
