Shush Club is an upcoming rival to OnlyFans and it has the backing of no less than ex-OnlyFans member Amouranth.

Only a couple months after quitting OnlyFans, Twitch streamer and content creator Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa has announced that she’s joining a potential rival for the platform, called Shush Club.

She won’t be making her own content for it though, and will instead be helping and advising the development team behind the new platform. Her official title is brand advisor and she’ll also promote Shush Club across social media.

Having a big name like Amouranth backing it will certainly give Shush Club some more notoriety, especially if it’s going to compete with an established and long running platform like OnlyFans.

In fact, this is probably the least bizarre business decision Amouranth has made, as it certainly matches up with her brand.

She has made numerous investments in the past, from petrol stations to a plastic ball manufacturer, but she’s always been happy to explain the logic behind these seemingly random decisions.

At the end of the day, it’s all part of her plan to eventually make enough money to retire. Considering she was making over £27 million while at OnlyFans, and felt comfortable enough to quit such a lucrative venture, it looks like her plans are working out.

Amouranth made the new announcement via Twitter, with Shush Club itself confirming that it will launch next week.

The official website reveals it has lofty ambitions, saying it ‘will pioneer a revolutionary infrastructure to support the rapidly-growing creator economy.’

Its promise of instant payouts, royalties that will last forever, and total privacy for customers are sure to be appealing and may tempt people away from OnlyFans.

However, it’s important to note that it’s powered by the blockchain and makes use of cryptocurrency and NFTs, so all three buzzwords in one. That’s going to put off plenty of potential customers, especially when they find out Amouranth isn’t actually on the website.

The timing may not be the best either, as crypto and NFT markets have lately been in decline. More than one crypto lender even filed for bankruptcy last month, costing many people their life savings.
