Una Healy’s daughter could be following in her footsteps into entertainment after expressing her desire to become an actress.

The Irish singer has enjoyed a stellar career over the past decade after rising to fame as one-fifth of The Saturdays, alongside Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, Frankie Bridge and Vanessa White, before becoming a judge on The Voice of Ireland and launching her own solo career.

However, Una, 40, may have to make way for another star in the family as her 10-year-old daughter Aoife – who she shares with ex-husband Ben Foden – has big acting dreams.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk before launching an all-day breakfast cafe with Nutella this Thursday, the What About Us singer revealed: ‘Aoife has said she wants to do acting, she’s expressed that to me.

‘At first she wanted to be a YouTuber but she’s not mentioned that in a while, but she would love to do some acting. So I said to her, “You’re only 10”, but if any opportunities came up for her to maybe try and audition for something, I will support her on that.’

Una added: ‘She’s quite a drama queen so I can see her doing that 100%.’

The songwriter is also mum to seven-year-old son Tadhg and, while he’ll likely be taking a different path to his older sister, Una will be his biggest cheerleader regardless.

‘I’ll support them in whatever, Tadhg is very big into his sports and fitness so I’m just always going to be there to support them in whatever it is they want to do because it’s such a big part of my life as well,’ she said.

‘I’ll encourage them to follow their dreams no matter what it is.’

Being a mum is Una’s pride and joy and while she has to juggle it with her busy work commitments, her children are pretty much unaffected.

‘It’s very normal, they are not phased whatsoever when I’m on TV. When I jump on live TV they just go, “Oh yeah”,’ she laughed.

‘Kids are swiping all the time and everybody to them on social media is on TV effectively for them in their eyes.’

The Higher hitmaker continued: ‘They are proud of what I’ve achieved in the past, they know I was in a girl group called The Saturdays and doing my own music still, but they are living their own lives and as their mother, I’m busier being a mum than anything else trying to keep up with all their activities.

Una will be opening the Nutella Happy Portion Parlour in London this weekend. Each delicious dish showcases the versatility of just one heaped teaspoon (15g) of Nutella

‘They’re such a joy in my life, and I just love to see them grow. They just keep me so busy, they’re so active.’

This Thursday, Una will be popping up at Nutella’s exclusive eatery and delighting fans with an amazing array of tasty breakfast dishes throughout the day, all with a delicious teaspoon of the chocolatey goodness.

‘There are 10 delicious recipes but they are all in the recommended portion size, which is why it’s called the Happy Portion Parlour of one teaspoon of Nutella to add to your experience of delicious food,’ she teased.

‘My kids love Nutella so now when I’m spreading Nutella on their bagels I’m more mindful as to how much I’m putting on.’

The Happy Portion Parlour will be open from 25th August 2022 located in Greek Street, London. Opening times are 10am-3pm on Thursday and 9am – 3pm on Friday and Saturday. Book via the link here.
