Jackie Weaver, best-known for going viral in a parish council Zoom when she kicked an attendee of the meeting out of the video chat, is set to star in a brand new TV series.

The show, which is due to air on Channel 4, will determine whether or not she has what it takes to become Prime Minister.

Knowing the ‘authority’ that Weaver bears, we have a feeling she could put real politicians to shame.

However, she won’t be the only person vying for the mock-role, as she’ll be joining a line-up of 12 candidates each vying to prove that they have ‘what it takes to operate in the cut-throat world of politics’.

The show, titled Make Me Prime Minister, will feature guest appearances from actual former Prime Ministers Sir Tony Blair and David Cameron, as 12 ‘ordinary yet opinionated Brits’ battle it out on the campaign trail.

The competitors will face a series of ‘prime ministerial-style tasks designed to test their leadership skills, resilience, and integrity’, with their weekly group challenges set and judged by Alastair Campbell and Baroness Sayeeda Warsi.

Campbell previously worked as Sir Blair’s press secretary, while Baroness Warsi is a former co-chair of the Conservative Party and a member of the House of Lords.

However, it won’t be up to Campbell and Baroness Warsi to make the final decision as to which of the 12 candidates will be allowed to stay in the competition.

Instead, the participants will be put to a weekly vote, as they strive to convince members of the public, former politicians and journalists that they have what it takes to be named Channel 4’s ‘Alternative Prime Minister’.

Since going viral, Weaver has appeared on shows including Big Fat Quiz Of The Year 2021 and Mastermind (Picture: BBC)

Weaver said that if she were to win the series, she would ‘make decisions that people don’t like’.

The internet star added that she believes that ‘national politics should not involve the rough and tumble that it currently does’, explaining that she wants to ‘focus funding away from central government and towards local government so that changes you care about can be made’.

Former PMs Blair and Cameron will offer ‘candid and personal advice’ to the stars of the show on what it’s like to hold the role, Channel 4 said.

After Weaver became a bona fide internet icon due to the viral Zoom chat, it later emerged that she in fact didn’t have authority at the meeting, after she was told by a disgruntled attendee: ‘You have no authority here.’

After an extensive investigation, which saw six reports of 145 pages compiled, it was concluded that she did not have the authority to remove people from meetings.

Make Me Prime Minister will air on Channel 4.
