Florence Pugh brought her grandmother Pat with her for the Don’t Worry Darling film premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Monday night – and they totally slayed the red carpet together.

Although the 26-year-old actress skipped promotional duties for the upcoming Olivia Wilde film, she went all out for the star-studded evening with her nan on her arm.

After posing for photographs on her own at the ceremony, Florence walked hand in hand with Pat, who looked delighted by the fanfare.

Pat, who was dressed in a white suit with a pink floral silk scarf, had a huge grin over her face for the duration of the red carpet walk and could be seen eagerly waving at the cameras.

Meanwhile, Florence wore a black dress complete with sparkling sequins and the black heels adorned with feather detailing.

Last month, Florence described her grandma as ‘a bit of an adrenaline junkie,’ as she took appeared on Running Wild With Bear Grylls: The Challenge.

The actress went on to reveal that she used to go climbing with her grandmother, and that she is still very fond of the great outdoors, aged 85.

‘We’d go climbing, and she still goes now. ‘She goes climbing with her friends, and she’s very jealous that I’m here right now.’

Don’t Worry Darling has hit headlines in recent days after claims of behind-the-scenes drama, with intense speculation of ‘clashes’ involving director Olivia and lead star Florence.

While Florence, who has been filming Dune 2 in Budapest, skipped one of the film’s press conferences earlier today, Olivia attempted to dispel rumours of a feud.

‘Florence is a force; we are so grateful she is able to make it tonight [to the premiere] despite being in production,’ she said.

‘As for all the endless tabloid gossip and noise out there, the internet feeds itself. I don’t feel I need to contribute to it. It’s sufficiently well-nourished.’

In a recent interview, Olivia also said of her lead star: ‘She’s ferociously talented. She was so dogged in her pursuit of the most authentic version of every moment.’

She added to Interview Magazine: ‘She also knew that my real goal was to create a love story that felt so sincere between her and Harry that people would be incapable of not falling for them as a couple. It had to be a love that felt real – it had to be passionate, but textured.

‘I wanted so badly to have a nuanced, layered relationship that people would buy into despite knowing at times in the film that they shouldn’t. Even when the movie suggests you should question them, I wanted you to fight it.’
