House of The Dragon stunned viewers with another huge death in its third episode, but we didn’t get to see it and actually the jury is pretty much in agreement it came far to soon.
After being tipped as the big villain of the Game of Thrones prequel, The Crabfeeder has already been slaughtered.
In the latest instalment, titled Second of His Name, Dameon Targaryen (Matt Smith) attacked Crabfeeder and his armies who were all hiding in caves and subsequently able to escape Daemon’s biggest weapon – his dragon.
Daemon surrendered, but it was all a ploy.
Luring the Crabfeeder and his army out of their hiding place, Leonor Velaryon (Steve Toussaint) came roaring in on his own dragon to wipe out the troops and leave Daemon alone with their leader.

Daemon was seen covered in blood and dragging Crabfeeder’s detached upper body before plonking him on the sand.
It was grim, and also anti-climatic at the same time.
All in all, fans expected more.

‘Crabfeeder deserved better,’ wrote one critic. ‘Such a cool, scary, mysterious character that was suddenly and anti-climatically killed off.’
‘I’m sad that the Crabfeeder was killed as I really would have loved to hear his backstory,’ said one more which was echoed by another fan who said they were ‘deeply dissatisfied with the Crabfeeder arc’.
‘Very rude to keep that off-screen,’ they complained.
Others, however, speculated the torso actually belonged to someone else, nothing that it looked ‘different’.
Actor Daniel Scott Smith, who played the monster, has said it was a ‘strange experience’ to see a prosthetic of his dead body.
‘I don’t think many people would experience that normally, but it was quite surreal,’ he told Entertainment Weekly. ‘It was cool, though.’
House of The Dragon is available to stream on NOW.
