Strictly Come Dancing’s new batch of celebrities have been spotted dusting off their salsa shoes hitting rehearsals for the very first time.

With just over a week until the juggernaut show returns to the BBC for its 20th edition, the celebs have been brushing up on their tango and quick step skills as they prepare to battle it out on the dance floor.

Singer Fleur East, presenter Helen Skelton and comedian Ellie Taylor looked in high spirits as they exited the rehearsal space sporting colourful gym leggings.

Beaming ear to ear as if they had shared a joke, Fleur and Helen linked arms as they finished a hard day’s dancing practice.

Popstar Matt Goss and Loose Women Kaye Adams, who waved to paps, also left at the same time and appeared to be in deep conversation.

CBBC star Molly Rainford and Radio 1’s Richie Anderson smiled as they returned back to their London hotels, while Paralympian swimmer Ellie Simmonds followed closely behind.

Meanwhile, comedian and actor Jayde Adams, who was wearing vibrant yellow bottoms, pursed her lips as she clutched a neon pink water bottle.

Cameraman Hazma Yassin, presenter Tyler West and footballer Tony Adams, who was wearing flip-flops, were all seen wrapping up a day of rehearsing, as their foxtrot skills were presumably put to the test by their professional dance partners.

Clutching a takeaway cup of what looked like coffee, Will Mellor made his way back home, looking tense on a phone call and wearing a gold chain.

Rounding up Strictly’s class of 2022 are Coronation Street star Kym Marsh and Eastenders’ James Bye.

The 15 celebs will be trying to score a perfect 10 from judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, and Anton Du Beke.

It appears the pressure has already got to Kaye, 58, who has admitted she ‘struggled to sleep’ after her first day of rehearsals.

The 2021 series was won by actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, the show’s first ever deaf contestant, who consistently wowed the judges alongside dancing partner Giovanni Pernice.

Strictly Come Dancing launches on BBC One on September 17.
