S Club 7’s Jo O’Meara in hospital with ‘horrendous’ back pain but insists it won’t stop her ‘doing shows’-Stella Akinwumi-Entertainment – Metro

Former S Club 7 member Jo O’Meara shared her ‘horrendous’ ordeal which resulted in her being rushed to hospital.

The star, best-known for early 2000’s bangers such as Reach and Don’t Stop Movin’, shared the news with her Instagram followers with a picture of her in a hospital bed.

‘So after almost 20 years pain free my back decided it was time to flake out on me again,’ she penned.

‘The pain has been absolutely horrendous! 4 discs bulging, and a bad case of sciatica, I yesterday went for spinal blockers at the amazing @thelondonclinichospital to try and get things moving again!

‘It will not stop me doing my shows, and I will not be beaten by it!’

The 43-year-old performer expressed that she would be headlining at Gloucester Pride this weekend and then again at Fife pride.

She continued: ‘This back of mine will not stop me doing what I love so I shall see you there!!

‘Plus ::: something very exciting is happening …….. very soon ! So keep your eye peeled!’

Fans and fellow stars wished Jo a speedy recovery, with singer Ben Ofoedu writing: ‘Sending get prayers 🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️ lovely.’

While Love Island’s Amy Day added: ‘Wishing you a quick recovery Jo.’

Jo recently spoke about the possibility of an S Club 7 reunion and admitted ‘if it ever was to happen, I’d definitely be up for doing it.’

‘I’m ready to reach for the stars!’ she joked to Lorraine Kelly.

However, reigning in fans’ expectations again, she warned: ‘It’s a case of getting seven bodies all together in the same room.

The band – made up of Tina Barrett, 44, Rachel Stevens, 43, Hannah Spearritt, 40, Bradley McIntosh, 40, Paul Cattermole, 44, Jon Lee, 39, and Jo – sold more than 10 million albums worldwide in the five years they were together.
