Eminem has revealed his long-standing feud with Snoop Dogg was ended after the pair heard Dr Dre had a near-fatal brain aneurysm.

The rappers had been feuding for two decades after a miscommunication following their collaboration on B***h Please II on Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP.

However, they realised their beef was not worth hanging on to after Dr Dre, 57, almost died in 2021 following a brain aneurysm.

Eminem, 49, told Paul Rosenberg, 51, on Sirius XM, that the emergency made him and Snoop, 50, reach out to one another.

He explained: ‘Me and Snoop had our little issue and then when that thing happened with Dre, the brain aneurysm thing, we were like, “Bro, this is stupid. This is stupid as hell to be feuding right now.”

‘I can’t remember if I called him or he called me, but we talked it out and I think that there was a miscommunication at the time in regards to him being on my album, the Mathers LP, on B***h Please II.’

Eminem added: ‘I think he had wanted to do something with me [in return for appearing on Eminem’s album], and maybe gave you [Paul] the idea… you said something to the effect of, “Well, let’s hear what the song is first, let’s see what the type of song is,” and he said the way that he took it was kind of like that I don’t f**k with him.’

Paul confirmed that Snoop had wanted to do something with Eminem for his own record but something the manager had said was ‘relayed back to Snoop in a way that he didn’t like’.

Eminem added that he explained to Snoop that that could not be further from the case and that he had always been a huge fan, adding: ‘I’m like “Bro, Doggystyle changed my life.’”

Dr Dre had spent two weeks in intensive care in January 2021 after the aneurysm, revealing his family had been told to say their goodbyes to the music mogul.

He explained on the Workout The Doubt podcast: ‘They allowed my family to come in. I found out later, they called them up so they could say their last goodbyes because they thought I was outta here.’

Thankfully, Dr Dre went on to make a full recovery after being closely monitored by medics and was back in the studio days after being released from hospital.

Since ending their feud, Snoop and Eminem have made several appearances together, including in February’s Super Bowl Halftime Show alongside Dr Dre, Mary J Blige, 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar.
