New Star Wars series Andor is here and fans are already head over heels for a brand new character.

The new show, streaming on Disney Plus, is set before the events of Rogue One and follows the story of Cassian Andor, played by Diego Luna.

The sci-fi drama reveals Andor’s origin story and follows how he came to be involved in the fledgling Rebel Alliance.

Joining Diego in the cast is Stellan Skasgard, Adria Arjona, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Fiona Shaw, Kyle Stoller, and Adam Tudyk.

Andor is well known for his friendship with beloved reprogrammed imperial droid K-2SO, but this new series introduces us to another of his robot pals.

B2EMO, lovingly known as Bee, is a salvaged droid Andor has known since childhood.

In the first episode of the series he is seen in disrepair, though his adorable personality shines through proving a hit with fans.

‘If B2EMO has a million fans, then I am one of them. If B2EMO has ten fans, then I am one of them. If B2EMO has only one fan then that is me. If B2EMO has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against B2EMO, then I am against the world,’ one user posted to Twitter.

‘Just finished #Andor and one thing is clear: B2EMO stole the show,’ another added.

A third wrote: ‘I love B2EMO I would do anything for him.’

Speaking to RadioTimes, Neal Scanlan, Creature and Droid FX Creative Supervisor on the series, spoke about the design and creation of the robot.

‘We chose to design something that was more rectangular in shape, a little smaller, a little squatter,’ he said.

‘Obviously, like all the droids in Star Wars, they have a purpose, and by looking at the script, we were able to understand what B2 would have to do.

‘Add to that his relationship to Cassian and his relationship generally to the world around him, and that helps us think about how we can emote that, through small gestures and body language and certainly the motion of our head.’

Andor star Drego described Bee as ‘like a dog’ in that he ‘always finds a way to be next to you’.

B2EMO is voiced by voiced by Dave Chapman, one of the operators behind BB-8 during Disney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy.

The first three episodes of Andor are streaming on Disney+ from Wednesday, September 21.
