Warning: spoilers ahead for She-Hulk episode 7.

Another She-Hulk: Attorney At Law episode, another go at dating for our lovable but ill-fated Jen Walters (Tatiana Maslany).

In episode 7 of the Marvel series on Disney Plus, Jen heads out on several dates with Josh (Trevor Salter), who not only seems utterly delightful but also interested in her for exactly who she is. Finally!

But, just as many viewers predicted, there’s more to Josh than meets the eye… with several viewers rightfully labelling the ending ‘creepy’ after his true intentions are revealed.

From Jen receiving an unexpected therapy session from Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth) to fans forming a hate club for Josh, episode seven delivers an emotional rollercoaster of a journey.

Jen and Josh hit it off, but fairytale romance quickly turns sour

In the latest episode of She-Hulk, it seemed as though Jen had finally found a guy who appreciated her for exactly who she is, rather than just a super-strong hero.

Jen was left beaming by her three dates with the uber charming Josh, who she met at her friend’s wedding in last week’s instalment.

Things seemed to be going swimmingly between the pair, with Jen inviting him to stay the night at her place after their third date.

However, he then falls completely silent, leaving Jen’s place without telling her and failing to respond to her messages, making it seem as though he’s ghosted her… or worse.

Emil Blonsky sparks concern on unique retreat

Having helped Emil, aka the Abomination, be released from jail at his recent parole board meeting, Jen learns that something has gone skewiff with the inhibitor, which he was ordered to wear as a condition for his freedom, preventing him from transforming.

Jen visits Emil at his luxurious retreat with his parole officer, finding out that the inhibitor that he wears on his ankle was apparently set off by an electric fence while he was trying to fetch one of his chickens.

While at the retreat, Jen crosses paths with several other eccentric individuals who are undergoing therapy with Emil’s help, including a man who believes he’s a vampire, another who wears a porcupine costume and one of the men who was part of the crew who tried to attack the attorney outside her home.

What starts off as a series of tense exchanges unfolds into a moment of clarity for Jen, who not only acknowledges – with the group’s help – that Josh has unfortunately ghosted her, but that everyone at Emil’s retreat cares about her both as Jen and She-Hulk.

Josh’s true intentions are revealed – and fans want revenge

When Josh was introduced last week, some fans thought that something felt off about him from the start… and it turns out they were completely right.

At the end of episode seven, it’s revealed that after sleeping with Jen, Josh takes a photo of her while she’s asleep, which he sends to the so-called ‘Hulk King’, someone using the pseudonym on a hate site targeting Jen with death threats.

Josh confirms that he managed to extract Jen’s blood, presumably so that someone else can try to replicate her She-Hulk powers.

Fans are furious with Josh, especially after many were rooting for him to actually be a good guy. What were we thinking?

‘How could Josh do this to her?!’ one devastated viewer wrote, while another said: ‘We were all rooting for Josh. Now I want him DEAD.’

‘I knew Josh was too good to be true,’ someone else commented.

Hopefully Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock will come along to show Jen that there is actually a good guy out there who appreciates her for who she is! Our fingers are crossed.

She-Hulk is available to watch on Disney Plus with new episodes released on Thursdays.
