It happens to the best of us – that moment drivers dread, setting off without shutting the boot.

Coleen Rooney can join the club, proving it can happen to anyone after she didn’t close the boot properly, and started to drive without realising her mistake.

The 36-year-old mum-of-three, whose husband is retired football Wayne Rooney, was spotted shopping at an M&S supermarket in Cheshire on Friday, picking up a birthday cake and other essentials.

She kept things low-key for the trip to the shops, sporting a black coat to battle the cooler weather over an Anine Bing jumper bearing the slogan: ‘I am strong, powerful, kind, confident, beautiful, strong, capable, grateful, I am me.’

She completed her outfit with black leggings and trainers, wearing her hair up in a ponytail.

Unfortunately for Coleen, she didn’t quite shut the boot properly – but she quickly noticed her error, stopped the car to close it and got going again.

The shopping trip comes days after she got glammed up for the Football For Change Gala 2022, turning heads in a little black dress with a cutout detail as she took to the red carpet, wearing her hair up in an elegant bun.

She looked relaxed and happy on the red carpet, beaming and striking a pose at Manchester’s Old Trafford Cricket Ground for the glitzy night.

Last month, it was revealed Coleen has landed her own Disney+ series with the streaming platform commissioning an unscripted programme about the Wagatha Christie court case.

The House of Mouse isn’t the first destination you’d think of for a three-part series about Coleen winning her legal battle with Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah following a now-infamous social media post.

However, that’s exactly what’s happening as Sean Doyle, Disney+ director of unscripted content, revealed at the Edinburgh TV Festival that the streamer will have ‘exclusive access’ to Coleen for the documentary, which will follow the court case which gripped the nation.

In October 2019, Wayne’s wife conducted a sting operation and claimed to find that the false stories she had planted about herself were only seen by Vardy’s private Instagram account.

Despite the judge citing concrete evidence that Vardy was the source of the leak, the mother-of-five has vehemently denied this.

Now, the saga is coming to Disney+ under the working title Wagatha Christie, featuring comments from Coleen, her family, friends and ‘key players’ from the trial.
