Maya Jama is reportedly set to replace Laura Whitmore as the new host of Love Island.
The Irish host, 37, joined the ITV2 dating show in 2020 replacing Caroline Flack and going on to present three series, and stepped down earlier this year, saying there were ‘certain elements of the show’ that she’s ‘found very difficult’.
But after much speculation on who the next host could be, with rumours flying around ex-islanders Maura Higgins and 2022 winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu, it is now reported to be Maya.
An insider has revealed that the 28-year-old will appear in the winter version which hits our screens early next year.
The source revealed: ‘Maya was ITV’s dream option. She is fun, beautiful and a brilliant presenter.’

The insider added to The Sun that Maya was ‘discussed’ as a ‘possible replacement’ for Caroline before Laura had been chosen two years ag, ‘but now the time is right.’
‘They think she’ll make the show her own and carry on from where Caroline left off,’ the source continued.

They did however add: ‘Barring any huge surprises she will be announced formally very soon,’ saying that the last details were yet to be finalised.
An ITV spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘Our new host will be announced in due course.’
Love Island is available to watch on ITV Hub.
