A decade-old tweet from musician P!nk about Kanye West is making the rounds on social media again as the rapper faces accusations of anti-Semitism.

Donda star Kanye is at the centre of serious scrutiny this week after a series of inflammatory posts which earned him a suspension from both Instagram and Twitter.

The father-of-four, 45, was locked out of both platforms for posts deemed anti-Semitic, including a tweet in which he said he planned to go ‘death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.’

His suspension comes a week after the rapper raised eyebrows for showcasing clothing bearing the words ‘White Lives Matter’ at a Paris fashion show, later going on to label the Black Lives Matter movement a ‘scam.’

Kanye has never been one to shy away from controversy, having previously made headlines in 2018 for seemingly calling slavery a ‘choice,’ for which he later apologised.

He has also stormed out of or interrupted multiple awards shows when he was unhappy with the results – including the notorious incident at the 2009 VMAs.

The Stronger rapper walked on stage and took the microphone from then-19-year-old Taylor Swift, who had just won the award for best music video, and declared that Beyoncé had deserved the win.

His actions were widely condemned by the public and fellow celebrities, with even then-US President Barack Obama caught calling the musician a ‘jacka**’ – and musician P!nk was among those criticising him at the time.

In September 2009, the So What singer wrote on Twitter: ‘Kanye west is the biggest piece of sh** on earth (sic).’

She added: ‘Quote me.’

These days, Twitter boasts 397 million users and is used by everyone from schoolchildren to governments and world leaders, but in 2009 – with 53 million users in total – it was a different game.

P!nk’s tweet would have been seen by her followers, a fraction of the 31 million who follow her now, and that would essentially have been the end of it.

Except now, 13 years later, P!nk’s tweet has been unearthed again – and people are loving it.

‘This tweet has been relevant for 13 years,’ one person wrote, while another jokingly asked her what the next winning lotto numbers would be.

Sons of Anarchy star Titus Welliver shared P!nk’s decade-old message and added: ‘A half wit antisemite with a severe talent allergy.’

Meanwhile, Frozen star Josh Gad wrote: ‘Thirteen years later, it’s aged like the finest of wines. Love you @Pink.’

It’s not the first time P!nk’s tweet has been dredged up since it was first penned, as it tends to make the rounds every time the Yeezy star says or does something deemed to be controversial.

(One person, who commented under her tweet in 2018 and again this week, pointed out how ‘every four months this goes viral again’ thanks to the sheer regularity of Kanye making headlines.)

However this time it could be more personal, as P!nk – born Alecia Moore – is Jewish.

Kanye was kicked out of his Twitter account over the weekend after he is alleged to have tweeted: ‘I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.

‘The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.’

Twitter has since removed the post in question, with a message instead reading: ‘This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules.’

‘The account in question has been locked due to a violation of Twitter’s policies,’ a Twitter spokesperson told Metro.co.uk in a statement.
