The drama between James Corden and restaurant owner Keith McNally shows no signs of slowing down, after the food mogul took aim at the star once again on Instagram.

Earlier this week, the Late Late Show host was banned from Balthazar, in New York, amid allegations that he was ‘nasty’ to waiting staff.

The 44-year-old reportedly apologized and the matter appeared to be over, before he addressed the reports in a new interview, claiming that he hadn’t done ‘anything wrong’.

Keith has now responded on social media, calling the actor out for his latest comments.

‘STORM IN A RESTAURANT TEACUP,’ he began. ‘I’ve no wish to kick a man when he’s down.

‘Especially one who’s worth $100 Million, but when James Corden said in yesterday’s NY Times that he hadn’t done “anything wrong, on any level,” was he joking? Or was he denying being abusive to my servers?

‘Whatever Corden meant, his implication was clear: he didn’t do it.

‘Although I didn’t witness the incident, lots of my restaurant’s floor staff did. They had nothing to gain by lying. Corden did.’

Keith then laid down a gauntlet to the Gavin and Stacey actor, promising a decade’s worth of free dining at his popular eatery if he apologized to the servers that he allegedly insulted.

’I wish James Corden would live up to his Almighty initials and come clean,’ he continued. ‘If the supremely talented actor wants to retrieve the respect he had from all his fans (all 4 of them) before this incident, then he should at least admit he did wrong.

‘If he goes one step further and apologizes to the 2 servers he insulted, I’ll let him eat for free at Balthazar for the next 10 years.’

Over to you, James…

The Cats actor recently made headlines when he was barred by the restauranteur and accused of treating staff at Balthazar poorly.

He is thought to have received the wrong food while eating at the establishment, and was allegedly abusive to staff, demanding free drinks to make up for the mix-up.

As a result, he was banned from the restaurant, as Keith claimed that he had previously behaved poorly at his other venues.

It was later reported that the comedian apologized directly to the owner, but tensions came to a head when James spoke about the incident in a chat with the New York Times.

He insisted he never considered cancelling the pre-planned interview amid the backlash, saying: ‘I haven’t done anything wrong, on any level. So why would I ever cancel this? I was there.

‘I get it. I feel so Zen about the whole thing. Because I think it’s so silly. I just think it’s beneath all of us. It’s beneath you. It’s certainly beneath your publication.’

When he was directly asked if he was aware of the discussion online, he added: ‘I haven’t really read anything. It’s strange. It’s strange when you were there. I think I’m probably going to have to talk about it on Monday’s show.

‘My feeling, often, is, never explain, never complain. But I’ll probably have to talk about it.

‘Should we not all be a little grown-up about this? I promise you, ask around this restaurant. They don’t know about this. Maybe 15 percent of people.’
