Sir Billy Connolly has been spotted in his hometown of Glasgow after making a trip back to Scotland recently.
The comedian, 79, has lived in the US with his wife Pamela Stephenson for over 30 years, but made a visit back to his homeland this week.
During his stay, Sir Billy made a visit to Mediterraneo Ristorante and Champagne Bar, where the staff made the most of the chance to nab a photo with the icon.
They shared the snap, telling their followers: ‘Serving a Glasgow Legend! Billy Connolly at #Mediterraneo.’
Fans of the comic flooded the comments, writing: ‘The Only man on the planet that has reduced me to tears of abject laughter multiple dozens of times over the years. Gotta love Billy.’
Others added: ‘Can’t believe he is in Glasgow. Amazing. I love our Billy’ and ‘Billy returning to his roots and yes he still remembers the good and bad and ugly of it ……Great Glasgow comedian…hail ..hail.’

Another commented: ‘Lot of Scottish icons but this man must be one of the best, he said it like it was and we could all relate to his humour.’
Sir Billy, who was knighted in 2017 for services to entertainment and charity, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2013 and retired from live performances five years later but has continued to record programmes and make TV appearances.
He has been open about life with Parkinson’s, revealing it affected his ability to perform like he used to.
Sir Billy told The Sun in December: ’Parkinson’s has taken a lot from me. I can’t play the banjo any more. It’s just a noise. I can’t yodel any more — I used to like yodelling. I can’t smoke cigars.
‘As it goes along it’s taken more and more of what I like. And it’s kinda painful. I have to behave in a certain way so my children don’t think I’m a dead loss. I want them to think: “He does well with what he’s got.”’
