Why not try Cowboy boots? How to wear this season’s key trend

Cowboy boots never really go out of fashion, but this season, hold on to your horses, because they’re officially cooler than ever.

For me, it’s been a love affair since age 14, when I saved up my pocket money to buy my first ever pair from the specialist cowboy boots shop R Soles on the King’s Road in Chelsea.

Looking for a pair of cowboy boots?

Since then, various pairs have seen me through festival seasonand every A/W, and I even bought some on a holiday to Nashville one year.

Now, thankfully, you don’t have to go to specialist shops or all the way to Tennessee. Appearing on catwalks from Celine to Isabel Marant and on celebs including Emily Ratajkowski, Kendall Jenner and Dua Lipa, this season they’re the IT boot to own, and the high street is full of them.

Worried about looking like a Shania Twain impersonator? Don’t be! As well as being super-sturdy and comfortable, they’re also so versatile.

For the perfect weekend brunch look, you can easily emulate EmRata with these black cowboy boots from Reserved, tucked into a pair of jeans and teamed with an oversized blazer and white T-shirt.

Cowboy boots also look great with any length dress, from maxi to mini. Style the latter with a statement pair like these green stunners from Nastygal.com, which will instantly elevate any look.

For a more casual vibe, go for Zara’s tan version, which you could easily take from day to night.

Invest in a pair now and strut your stuff all winter long.
