A member of the royal family has made their thoughts known on Mike Tindall joining the cast of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2022, days ahead of the launch date.
This year, the stars in the line-up of the ITV competition have returned to Australia, with celebrities including singer Boy George, Love Island’s Olivia Attwood and radio DJ Chris Moyles among their ranks.
Mike, who’s married to Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall, is the first member of the royal family ever to take part, and as a former English rugby union player, he predicts he’ll be voted to do plenty of Bushtucker trials in the jungle.
In a post shared on the 44-year-old’s Instagram page, he’s seen wearing his camp attire – a pair of red trousers, a khaki shirt, a red gilet and a brown hat – with the caption including emojis of side-eyes, a tree, a caterpillar, an ant and the Australian flag.
Over in the comments, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who’s married to Zara’s cousin Princess Beatrice, shared his views on Mike’s stint on the programme – sharing a series of emojis including a spider, a caterpillar, a worm, a cockroach and a nauseous face.
It appears Edoardo might not be signing up for the show any time soon!

Plenty of people wished Mike luck in the competition, including other sports stars.
‘How you going to cope without me looking after you.. AGAIN…,’ asked former rugby union player Will Greenwood.
‘Go get ‘em champ!’ said track and field athlete Louise Hazel, while actress Katherine Kelly added: ‘Here he goes…’
One fan said in the comments that Mik was the ‘only reason’ they’d be watching, adding: ‘Hope you go all the way, going to be an interesting adventure.’

‘The reason I am going to watch this year! You will be amazing & your family will be even more proud of you! Have a fab time,’ another remarked.
In his pre-camp interview Mike revealed that he has been asked to do I’m A Celebrity on several occasions in the past.
He finally accepted the offer this year after being convinced by his friend James Haskell, who did the show in 2019.
‘I am used to doing something where you know if you do the best you can, you can win. This isn’t that set up,’ Mike said, comparing his future time in the jungle to his career in rugby.
‘All I would hope to do is be useful to the group. Winning is out of your control.’
I’m A Celebrity 2022 begins on Sunday November 6 at 9pm on ITV.
