Kym Marsh was reportedly forced to stop Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals after breaking down and suffering from a panic attack.

The 46-year-old Coronation Street star is coupled up with Graziano Di Prima, 28, and has previously spoken about suffering from nerves and having a ‘full-on meltdown’.

It’s now been reported the star broke down before a live show that was recorded last month, with Graziano consoling her as their rehearsals stopped.

A source revealed: ‘She was very upset she just couldn’t stop crying and hyperventilating.’

‘In the end there was no choice but to stop rehearsals,’ the insider added to The Sun.

It is reported that this all took place hours before Kym and Graziano danced the Ballroom Blitz by Sweet two weeks ago.

Sources added to the publication that there were fears Kym wouldn’t be able to go on and perform due to her anxiety, but she managed to make it through and complete her dance, before being voted into the next week.

Her anxiety and panic attacks ‘can catch her out,’ a friend added.

This comes after Kym revealed she had a ‘full-on meltdown’ before the show’s very first episode this series.

Revealing the celebrities all swap tips and chat in a newly created Strictly WhatsApp group, Kym exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘I’d said to everyone, and even on the WhatsApp group, that I’ll be fine as long as I don’t have to go first. Anything but first.’

But when Kym learned her worst fears had come true, and she would be the first to dance live, she said she had a ‘full-on meltdown’ with Graziano needing to ‘calm her down.’

She added: ‘Although it was funny because I think I was more nervous in the dress rehearsal than I was on the actual day. It was really weird.’

Graziano admitted: ‘It’s such a big thing, Strictly. But not just that we opened the show – that is something we’ll never forget. You’re not opening the show that night, you’re opening the season.’

BBC declined to comment when approached and Metro.co.uk has also reached out to Kym Marsh’s reps.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow at 7pm on BBC One.
